thank you Agnes. Values and desires emerging from aspiration rather than ambition. Yes.
I listened to most of your discussion here and I have to say that you are my favourite philosopher. Your understanding of philosophy is great & you put that so succinctly when talking of Plato here. Restored my faith somewhat in Plato, thanks again.

so this brings me to an ultimate question for philosophy which only very recently I accepted. Using the on-going notion of a landscape or more preferably a reliable environment... there is always that option ahead of us so to speak. An option to join in with an existing, objectivised environment which is signified by a younger mind or minds. When a few years ago Greta Thunberg emerged and spoke at the high table of the U.N. and showed the single-minded behaviour of an outline of a different environment....
it struck me (much later) that what must follow on from such a passionate-yet-rational-seeking act of hers was the creation of a place -similar to a sustainable environment described by GT- which could explain it more fully in philosophy terms.
And when describing in philosophy terms we have to "pay homage" Not JUST to the fact that some new philosophy has a distinct quality of a positive pathway and a negative critical pathway...
since both rely on new knowledge there could be the instance where both "can become one" In Fact (we describe the point, it can be accepted but here not pinpointed so to speak...)... and this occurrence I call "sustainable knowledge".
And it should be seen at once that this can be referred-to as "a thing" (something objectively existing). Which has needs "asserting" I hear it said.
      Exactly.
Sustainable knowledge then is that forerunner of an environment which being just better than this one also encapsulates & contains most, if not all of what proceeds as "philosophy". And here's the good part. What does proceed as philosophy is JUST NEW PHILOSOPHY AS NEW Knowledge.
Which is how it is understood that philosophy, like any & every other sourced subject, grows through it's acquiring of new good knowledge over old bad knowledge.
QED. or the answer to the Q. on "Quora site," What is sustainable philosophy of an objective kind ?
      (Ambition nee aspiration pending!)

The distinction between Ambition and Aspiration is informative. I think Aristotle had a point, life is not just about you.

Great conversation! But what's up with Adam's glitchy video? Makes it challenging to watch.

Asking questions is just a MEANS for getting to answers. People romanticize doubt and questioning, but do not believe in getting to conclusive answers, to Truth. Asking questions is futile if you cannot realize Truth exists.
