duno if its just me but when its already completly not under control for me im extremely scared. I wanted to fly from a balcony in 20 meter height.. but then it couldnt even stay in place. I guess thats not a problem? it would just be better to have a big open departure field I guess. I dont want that it breaks, or flies versus a wall and falls those 20 meters down
Your high wind torture tests really shows the extreme capabilities of the drones. I'm quite impressed with how well this little drone is holding up. Awesome job for a creating a highly entertaining video as always. 😁
This drone is actually underrated , you don’t need to go all out right away & get one of the mavic 3 series. This drone has survived normal day to day choppy winds, & still had a steady camera footage at 50 kmh which is (30mph). Plus, why would you want to do any work in choppy wind’s with no sun/gloomy? Most likely a storm is following the wind as well, which leads you to cuttings workflow short, unless you’re doing outdoor activities & desire to get footage in that environment state. I would recommend saving money & start with the Dji Mini 3 Pro, check your weather forecast every time before you start workflow. When you’re able to upgrade, then you should get the mavic 3, unless you plan to use your drone for heavy winds or conditions such as (40mph - 100+ mph is pretty much curtains). If your workflow consists heavy winds & weather conditions go with the mavic 3 & if your workflow is for social media content, go with the mini 3 pro. Both great products, you just have to know what it’s used for. Hope this helps! P.S. - If you desire to upgrade, you can sell your mini 3 pro later & the mavic 3 will be cheaper because they will most likely come out with a new model that’s better than the mavic 3. Play your cards.
@@madebya.i It’s good but about slightly more than half as good as the mini 2 is at handling those winds. It really struggles with winds that are 17-20mph. Not to mention it having half the range of the Mini 2
This video just showed me why dji is the leader in the drone technology.. it's amazing how such a small and lightweight drone packed with this much technology could handle this much wind and still produce great shots like it did..👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Drone is bouncing around everywhere.... and the footage is sooo stable. Shows how good gimbal is. Thanks for showing what this drone can handle... even though we probably wont be going out in those conditions! lol

Watched your video while i stood infront or a lake with a amazing mountain cenery… thought about packing together since the wind was 43 km/h, thanks to you i had the courage to go out and film and i took some of my best shots ever! Thank you so much
I was hesitating to buy this drone because of concerns about how it would handle the wind. This video demonstrated clearly wind will not be a problem. Awesome video, man. Well done. Thank you for putting this together!
Your wind tests are legendary. Great vid as always! Think it's fair to say the Mini3 is pretty damn good at handling the wind especially as it's only 249g!
He already stated in the video do not fly too far upwind, or higher altitudes. He doesn't really go more than 20m here, but many people are not as experienced, fly this drone up to 100m or so and lose it. You don't see many tests doing what inexperienced people would do. They see the video and go "ohhh I can do this" NOT
That POI via Activetrack towards the end is the real deal - it held a level horizon all the way around! I never have problems flying the mini 2 in wind but a lot of footage gets wrecked for side-side shots when the gimbal runs out of articulation and skews the world on edge.
Indeed, super impressive. Obviously, it struggled with handling the change in wind directions in terms of maintaining a perfect circle as I pedaled forward, but on a calm day, it's managed to do it pretty smoothly.
I have a Mavic Pro and there have been several times I’ve barely gotten her back to me before the battery gave out. Wind was about 25-30 mph and it was about 1 mile away. Had about 50 percent batter when she started coming back and bucking headwind the whole way. The performance of the Mini 3 is impressive.
Just got my Remote Pilots License(Unmanned Aircraft) and AROC license (Radio) in Australia and considering buying a mini 3, this really makes me want one.

I bought a cheap one from amazon once and it also light but cannot even survive light wind and gets blown away immediately. But this one's really different!! I am planning to buy this drone and this video got me! Thanks for this!

Great video, much appreciated! This was exactly the kind of weather I fly in on a regular basis; I live not far from the Oregon coast and make it a point to “storm watch” (and fly!) whenever the opportunity comes along. The Pacific Ocean is so gorgeous when it looks “angry” in the chilly, windy, and rainy winter days that we get here. My own Mini 3 arrived this morning, so finding your video today worked out great! Thanks again!
Thankyou for this video! I just had mine today. It was very windy also and when I was in the air it scared me. Because I'm used to fly my Mavic air2. But now I see this I can fly with winds here to I think 😊
New mini 3 owner here. This is going to give me nightmares. I'm not to keen on flying in windy conditions but dayum I didn't know it could be so capable!
Amazing, thanks for risking your drone. I fly off of cliffs often and over the ocean so this was very encouraging. For some reason 30 mph looks a lot more violent where I live but nonetheless super impressive.
