Hello Laura, Just found your Channel and Enjoyed the Baja Vids, Tk's for All you doing 🤗👻🍓Aka CharlieB outta Dobbs Ferry N.Y. Along WAVE away but I'm not afraid to Dream...
Good evening from Texas, that was a great video, A Taco a day keeps the doctor away lol. I really liked the video and the food looks very tasty. A the beaches look beautiful and I am sure that the water is cold because of the weather that we had here in Texas lol. Well I am looking forward to your next awesome video, until then stay safe and bless the both of you.
I've moved to CSL a month ago and find it hard to find things to do besides drinking. We snorkel a lot (Playa Santa Maria is a fave... you must go there!) and eat out, but I think most gringos in Cabo are older retirees... there's no "digital nomad" scene like there is in Playa del Carmen. Great vids, hope to run into you guys sometime soon... The ocean water is 67-70 degrees right now, a little brisk upon entering but plenty warm enough to swim in!
Yea it doesn't attract the same crowd as Playa, but I'm enjoying it so far. Lots of day trips to do from here if you rent a car (check out Cactus rental). If you head into San Jose let me know!
Yeah completely different than the Cabo San Lucas marina. The marina along with the resorts and the housing development to the north were all developed by the family that owns Corona beer.
We had the same weather today here south of Tampa, low 70s, sunny, not humid. Delightful! I don’t swim until the water is 80°F or above. 😄 As always, food looked delish. Thanks for including links! ✌🏻
I enjoy your videos and have a question for you since you've spent so much time in Los Cabos. How did you find your rental? I hate using vrbo bcs of the service fee. Any advice you can give would be greatly helpful as my husband and i are looking to book Cabo San Lucas in May. Thank you:)
The weather you described is PERFECT (for me anyway🤣). I wish you would STOP fooling around and just TAKE OVER this food/tour guide game already, NO ONE CAN DO IT BETTER!
yeah, yeah, yeah... food, sun, beach, weather... BUT what I want to hear about is you and Lingoda !! Are you doing one of their plans? learning from it? enjoying it? worth your time and money? etc? etc? Please. (yes, I do enjoy and admire your videos, and am binging my way through them, but as someone who knew some spanish "once upon a time", I'd really like to hear about your "learning spanish" situation)
I've had the most luck and enjoyment with Baselang. I like the classes with Lingoda because they are structured and I think the curriculum is better, but I get so much more out of my conversation classes on Baselang. There are a few videos on this channel as well as a comprehensive written review on my blog about it: www.eternal-expat.com/2019/09/09/baselang-review-the-grammarless-program/
@@laura-bronner Thanks for the reply! I've seen (one of) your Baselang video and your Lingoda video but hadn't known about the posting on your blog... off to read it now. Thanks again - much appreciated.

Thanks for the video. My gf loves the seafood in the Tijuana area. We may go to Tijuana next month with her daughter. It would be her first time out of Veracruz state and Puebla. We may takea day trip to Ensenada. If you have any good food recommendations feel free to Apply. Stay safe and healthy.
Absolutely LOVE the seafood in Ensenada. You can check out my favorites on my blog post here: www.eternal-expat.com/2019/01/23/best-seafood-in-ensenada/ Also if you like craft beer, you've got to check out the craft beer scene at Plaza Fiesta and along Avenida Revolucion in TJ - great breweries (Border Psycho is my personal favorite). Enjoy it! Great birria tacos in the downtown area just off of Avenida Revolucion, can't remember the name but they have a big red sign.
Of the hotels I've seen they range anywhere from $50 a night all the way up to the resorts that charge hundreds of dollars a night. Hostels in the area look like they start from around $13 a night for a bed in a dorm room. There are lots of options around in both San Jose and Cabo San Lucas :)
Is Uber expensive there? I am traveling there in a few weeks, staying at The Krystal Grand, I want to explore but don’t want to pay high price for hotel excursions
Most ubers around town cost about 50 Pesos (about $2.50 USD). If you go further obviously it becomes more expensive - I took it from San Jose to the far side of the Marina and that cost about 70 Pesos ($3.50 USD). If you go from San Jose del Cabo all the way to Cabo San Lucas it's about 200 Pesos ($10 USD) and takes about 30 minutes. Hope that helps answer your question!
@@kandijgarcia4400 We are planning to stay at the Krystal resort ourselves in June. How is it located relative to all the sites in SJDC? How was the food at the resort? It's it worth booking the "all inclusive" deal at Krystal?
It looks like you missed the best public beach at La Playita (By the Marina) Take your Uber to the Dolphin place at the marina and then walk all the way to the beach. I strongly recommend going back because you will have a whole different impression And separately, there should never be anyone in the water along the hotel zone because there is a phenomenal undertow 24/7/365 due the very steep drop off from the water's edge. Where flags are posted there whatever the most dangerous level is. You can swim once the beach turns 90 degrees to the south way down to your right.
Can you do a video on the difference of life for expats on the main land Mexico vs life in Baja California for expats, that is if there is a difference. Seems to me by just watching video's that the adjustment might be easier in Baja. Thanks ?????
Hey Don. I honestly have no experience living on the mainland, but my wife and have a home in San Jose Del Cabo. We're expats from the northern Atlanta suburbs & to answer your question: Cabo is about as expensive as any part of Mexico to move to (except possibly Puerto Vallarta). Yes, it is possible to rent a condo for a "fairly reasonable" amount but Karen & I ended up purchasing a home in a golf course community just behind the beach they went on Day 2 of this video. Financing options for houses do exist, but they are such a pain that if you want to buy, you should be prepared to do so in cash. It is probably advisable to rent for a year to make sure you love the lifestyle. But in full disclosure, the advantage of buying is if you're a homeowner, your resident visa is rubber-stamped. If you choose one of the nicer communities in San Jose (Palmilla, Puerto Los Cabo, Querencia, etc) you will feel like you are living in paradise. They have golf courses, clubhouses, restaurants, super friendly wait staff, events, activities, etc... It would be a challenge finding a better way to live. The supermarkets here are very nice. They are very similar to Wegmans or Whole Foods, but with a lot more stuff (lol... believe it or not, you can buy things like TV's and ATV's in the supermarket). And lastly, for me, the difference between living in Baja vs the Yucatan Peninsula for example is the climate. The weather is warm and dry year-round down here. We have over 350 days of sunshine and aren't affected by hurricanes nearly as bad as they are on the Gulf. Additionally, the Cancun / PDC area is so humid that everything feels a little damp and smells mildew... No bueno 🤮
@@donezzo9058 It's absolutely amazing down here so there aren't huge adjustments. Just a bunch of little things. For example, T-Mobile shuts your data off after 3 months, so you have to get a different phone number. To watch the NFL games in English, I had to buy a router with a built in VPN, then sign up for TH-cam TV because they have the Red Zone channel. Once you get your VISA you'll want to get a Mexican bank account so you can transfer money to yourself and withdraw pesos. You'll also want to re-register the car you're taking in Montana. (lol... Way too long of a story for these comments. Google it and you'll understand why) Little things like that 🤷🏽 As for the time, we used to come down for the winter and Airbnb the place in the summer. Then the COVID lockdown started, we were stuck in the house back home for weeks and we said: "screw it, let's go back to Cabo." So most of last year, we've been down here. We only went back for a couple of weeks during the holidays. Oh and lastly, if you opt for a golf course community, you'll make plenty of new friends almost immediately so no worries there either.
