As a native turkish speaker finnish pronounciation is super easy for me. Wish I was in my 20s, I could master the finnish in a year I think. But my mind is not the same as before, so I keep forgetting the words. A pity bcs finnish sounds super cool for me 😊👍
Thank you for these tutorials! My biggest problem with Finnish is the difference between A and Ä. To my English ears they sound almost identical but listening to you pronounce them as a Finnish speaker helps a lot. Also I find U and Y to sound quite similar but much easier to distinguish. But again these tutorials really have helped with my pronunciation of Finnish!
It's so interesting that they are hard to distinguish for English (I assume UK-England) ears -- I speak American English (standard -- I'm from Connecticut!), and the way I have learned to think of it is that A is effortfully low (as if I'm imitating British English), whereas Ä is just what my mouth would say naturally / lazily, ignoring the dots.
