    Super useful video! I just wish I'd watched it before I drilled the holes for my strat bridge in my blonde lacquer.....good job the cracks are hidden by the bridge!

    Just don't use a regular spiral drill bit. Instead, use a brad point, forsner, or spade type bit that cuts at the outer edge of the hole. With any of these, don't try to "step up" the diameter from one bit to another If you try to do this, there is no way to keep the bit centered (unless you have the wood clamped, and are using a drill press.)
