Trying to say the electric motorcycle is bad actually because it's not good at doing something it's not built to do is ultimate copium. You're basically admitting in order to win, gas needs to create its own special safe space to compete in.

@@techs1smh13 You know they pit stop every 60 miles or so for Baja races, right? You could get it done already with the right battery swapping pit crew.
If you're interested, next range leap will likely be lithium-silicon batteries already being tested in airplanes. Probably 5 years til we get them in dirtbikes. They're a little over twice as energy dense in volume and weight currently so we'll have bikes with double the current range or just the same range and a lot lighter. What's crazy is the theoretical limit is 10x more than current lithium batteries which are already at 80% their theoretical limit so you could see in your lifetime a 200lb dirtbike with a 500 mile range which is just silly. Most likely something like a 175lb Stark Varg like dirtbike will be more popular.

You guys think there is some magic at play here. This is a brushless motor and a lithium battery. If you ride it hard it will die in 20 minutes or less. That is it. There is no way to change this with the current technology. If you tried to come ride with me and my friends with one of these on our sandy trails you wouldn't make it 1/4 the way through the trip. THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE BATTERIES IS NOT THERE YET. Period. No amount of copium can change that.

How many $5,000 batteries does it take to finish a race?
In traditional motocross, there's practice 1and2, then 2 motos....those batteries take all night to charge, and only last one moto.
So essentially, a rider needs the bike $15k, plus 3-4extra batteries for a day of racing.
So, an investment of $30k-$35k just to get to the track. Kind of narrows down the amount of people who'll be getting into mx.

The Stark Varg is a top of the line electric MX bike and it's $13k. Its battery is $3k direct from Stark. It recharges in a little over an hour although they're coming out with a faster charger for it soon.

Sure, but this technology is being researched constantly, as new battery tech comes in, the prices go down. It’s a different world riding with an electric car OR a bike, the instant torque makes me want an electric car, but the sound of a turbo 6cyl keeps me from going electric.

No not really the battery and motor is really havy. If you want a lot of power gas is the way to go cus the big battery is to havy wich cause the frame to failure it already happen and the gas bike doesn’t need a bigger fuel tank just a more quality engine wich makes more horsepower or nitro or a turbo it makes a lot mor horsepower and isn’t as havy as the controller, Battery , motor and the extra large frame for more space that would n the video was a surron and it’s mor comparable with a electric bicycle becaus it uses bicycle parts
