And add a fuse rated about half to 3/4 of the current rating of the wires as screwing stranded wire goes against EU/VDE (and to my knowledge also US) electrical wiring code as it can‘t be guaranteed the wire still can handle the rated current. But the power strip itself really looks nice.
India has practically no regulation. All house wiring is done in stranded wires. This was ok 30-40 years back as the biggest load was the refrigerator which was about 350 watts those days. Even washing machines were not prevalent those days. Electricity was mainly used for 6-10 tube lights of 40 watts and 3-5 ceiling fans and a small refrigerator. The biggest common appliance was a 2 kva water heater that too mainly in north India. Now we have washing machines , 2-3 split ACs , water heaters in every bath rooms, small 2 kva room heaters at least 2 of them but no attention has been paid to regulation at all. Most electricians are uneducated people without any training or licences. Just some random guy off the street starts hanging around some one who does wiring he becomes an electrician and in a year he is also training others as he branches out in his own. It's the wild west out here.

How come neutral and phase wires are connected to switch. Didn't understand that. I believe blue and black wire should be direct and red wire should come through switch.
Oh my bad i didnt see properly..the red is coming through switch and the black which is connecting to blue is neutral and then green connected to blue is Earth. Thanks
