I am one of them! Tried the 2023 model and defo not going for it, back to a triple black gen1 year 2019. Boy, that's a psycho bike, good everywhere, at any speed. New one is too muffled, too smooth, too hard on the butt, just too clean.
As the XR in this vid sounds pretty smooth and kinda decent (and I know it not really is in real life, it has a much deeper, dirty sound) and I can make almost no difference to your Gen 2 XR vids I´m really wondering if it´s the sound equipment or position of microphone. I have no idea why this sounds so different to the real life kind of sound the Gen 1 XR generates. By the way: you can ride here with 5.5 to 6.0 l / 100 km (+0,5 l for real-life values) and have loads of fun, including keeping your drivers license. Vibrations? Go get a Multi THAT´S vibration, the XR is not viby at all - but that´s a very personal feeling topic, it´s not the bike it´s the driver. And even it has 98 dB standing noise in the papers in reality it "only" emitts 93 to 94 dB. But the freaking Tyrol guys don´t care about facts, they´re only into stupid papers. Rant over :-D Update @07:19: Oh forget about my first part - that´s almost EXACTLY as the Gen 1 XR sounds in real life! Thanks for catching, Schaaf. Will come back here during the winter months ;-)

To think in the near future these glorious sounds of the ICE on bikes will no longer be heard due to the incoming apocalypse of electric vehicles. Those Beemer I4's sound bonkers at the higher rev range.
I think as bikes generally create less emissions and are mostly for enjoyment ,whereas most cars are just people haulers, they will be exempt from being fully electrified. We'll still have many more years of ICE bikes.
I’ve ridden electric bikes too and they sound like jet engines, it’s still enjoyable. They just need to sort out the weight and range and I’m converted. They already have the speed
