I just watched this video and found the app you had suggested seed to spoon. What a wonderful little app. Thank you so much for that suggestion. This is my first time Gardening, and a bit more than I can chew. 😏
Beautiful! I would add locking casters to your raised bed to be able to move it if that’s something you wanna do or you can buy these little moving dolly’s they sell that has a depression in the middle with 3 wheels on the outside to slip under anything with legs and you need one for each leg, they’re super convenient especially for moving or refinishing furniture and they’re not permanent like casters
That’s such a good idea! Maybe ill try to get some wheels added before they get planted up this year bc that would be great to be able to move them around.
This video was really great! I live in NJ and I started my first container garden at the end of May, early June this year. I truly have no idea what I’m doing, but it sure is fun! 😀
Love to watch your videos at least some one is talking about rooftop gardening 🤦thank you so much h because your videos are really help full for people like me who do gardening on the rooftop
@@ChicagoGardener I was struggling so much and when I searched on TH-cam there is almost nothing about rooftop gardening and when I found your channel that is something which maked me happy that now we can also enjoy gardening
Clearly, you know a LOT more about gardening than I do, but I also keep a gardening diary. I use it for planning, what might I want to try to grow next year. What did I start, and when. When did I notice sprouts? When did I transplant outside? Etc. That way, I can try to plan better next year.
@@ChicagoGardener I try to remember to note starting seeds, transplanting out, harvesting, and anything else I might think of at the time. I figure, better to have more info that I don't need, then to try to remember (months later) something I DIDN'T write down!
I’ve added tons of pots to my garden in the past 2 years. I’m in PA zone 6b/7a. I’ve wondered if you addressed winter care for the pots? Do you put them in a more protected area so they don’t get damaged from snow and ice? I mostly have plastic pots.
I didn’t do anything last year and luckily everything survived but I’m definitely going to be more careful this year. I’ll post a video about how I’m protecting them, but basically I plan to move them all together in the garden and wrap the pots.
@@ChicagoGardener thanks! That would be great! That was sort of my plan as well. Last year I only had strawberries and some perennial herbs over winter, but have much more this year!
Just found your video and oh my! Your garden is stunning, filled to the brim with life & colour. Was a joy to see. ☺️ And thank you for the tips! 🌱💛

I always try to start a garden diary and then stop writing it after a few weeks 🤣 any times for keeping up on it?

Everyone who is interested in trees: be extremely careful when you're planting on a balcony, trees grow super heavy!
Yes! Make sure to know your deck capacity before planting heavy things!
