I never liked this song until I saw him play it live in Toronto. I was still getting over a breakup with my 7 year girlfriend. I loved her so much but we weren’t good for each other anymore - drifting in different directions and I had to end it. I took MDMA for the first time at this concert and blew off a bunch of steam dancing. Just an emotional escape. Towards the end, this song came on and the hook really resonated with me suddenly. It was like I was telling my ex to let me go so I could just live again and I felt peace.
