I remember when I went to a zoo, I saw a baby elephant drinking it's mother's milk, and it was the cutest thing ever. The elephant is my favourite animal and the fact that they are awesome parents makes them likeable to anyone.🐘

I have Malawi cichlids and can attest to that the females keep their fry in the mouth and don't eat anything for several weeks. It's easy to see if they are 'pregnant' but all cichlids are in fact very good parents. A Pelvicachromis pulcher AKA Kribensis even to my surprise attacked me and bit me in the arm when I put it in the aquarium to take care of the plants when they had fry. They behave similar to swans. One stays with the fry while the other one keeps everyone else at a safe distance and they move them around in the aquarium so that they can feed on algae. Every 30 minutes or so the male and the female change places. I've had other types of cichlids over the years and all cichlids are excellent parents that take good care of their fry.
You forgot one tiny, yet major fact, about the mother spider. Once the mother is done regurgitating, she starts a dance SPECIFICALLY designed to instill a feeding frenzy into her children. Scientist believe she creates the frenzy so that the children, who had never hunted, learn how to use their fangs, hunt and ultimately feed off of prey.

It was sad when I found out what happens different types of octopus moms. There's also a kind that won't eat from the time she lays eggs until they hatch. By the time they hatch she will have died from starvation and becomes food for her offspring. Octopuses are super cute, curious, and intelligent.
Me and my family once had a killdeer that had a nest in our gravel driveway, and I kid you not every time me and my brother would go out to play we would get the Broadway performance or would get dive bombed by a bird the size of my foot!
I actually have a couple of African cichlids. One time I went to sleep and then I woke up in the morning and noticed that there are these things on a rock that was in the tank. I noticed that those things were eggs, and after a few days they hatched. There are so many babies we had to give a lot of them to my friend, so now we only have four babies left.
