+Matthew Wolf (ATHORNFAM2) Really appreciate the comment Matthew, we try to do our best. On another note, if you are interested in receiving information on special offers on servers and components sign up for our newsletter, there's a link in the description, but here it is again for your convenience: eepurl.com/8tq6v. I am just about to hit the send button on a special featuring HP's DL360 Gen7 1u rack server in three different configurations all with dual processors. Also featured, are five different 2.5-inch hard drives that can be purchased separately. Just sayin', in case you're interested. Thanks for watching!

This Server can use Samsung 850 EVO 1TB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E1T0B/AM)?

How loud is the tower version with the redundant fan option in an office environment. We have no gear closet. Looking to add 18 LFF drives.

+Alan Latteri We bought a T620 about 1 year ago maxed out. I would have to say our barracuda backup system is louder than the server.

Can the 8bay LFF be converted to 18bay LFF by removing the spacing plastics? They look very similar in architecture except for the 8bay LFF there are some plastic panels separating HDDs. (probably also need to change the backplane)

+MSU PSGSRS I asked one of our production guys to pull a system to check. Unfortunately the 8-bay cannot be converted to the 18-bay LFF chassis. However, it does support an optional flex bay that will accept 4 PCIe SSDs. Here is a link to our product page goo.gl/84yR8n at the bottom of the page in the "Documentation" section grab the Owner's Manual and look at page 9 for configurations, and page 68 for installing a flex bay. We do sell the 18-bay if interested. Thanks for watching and commenting.

What is the size of the flex bay? I tried to check the owner's manual but it just said the flex bay can fit 4 PCIe SSD or 16 2.5" HDD. I am thinking can a 5.25" hard drive bay fit the space of the flex bay? For example this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BMJ1WD6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I have 3 pro-grade, and one consumer-grade SSDs. The connect in my current system with a SATA cable. Would those work in this system? I'm looking at this for my own server, as my experience building my own box with Supermicro stuff has been a nightmare, to say the least. I'd like to use my existing storage, at the beginning, and as I grow, I'll get better stuff.

+Aaron Kulbe in our experience newer Dell systems don't always work well with non-Dell drives, so we do recommend using only Dell branded drives to avoid issues.
However, with that said, Yes. Those HD’s can most likely be installed on your system assuming you have a compatible controller and cables to connect the HD’s. Also depending on the form factor, which you didn't indicate, you may need to get the drive cage adapter for the SFF drives to install in a 3.5-inch drive carrier. I have attached a link to the Spec sheet which includes the controllers supported by the system and a list of compatible HDs which include SAS, SATA, NL-SAS HDD and SSDs.The owners manual link is also below and on pages 70-77 provides information on HD's and installing a 2.5-inch drive into a 3.5-inch carrier, and installing a drive controller on other pages.
      Spec. Sheet: i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/shared-content/data-sheets/en/Documents/Dell_PowerEdge_T630_SpecSheet.pdf
      Owner's Manual: topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/poweredge-t630_Owner's%20Manual_en-us.pdf
Good luck, and thanks for watching Aaron!

+IT Creations, Inc., Hi thanks for you answer, I would like to use SFP+ connectors, but I don't have a 10Gbe switch to handle it. So, does it support 10Gbe through RJ45 connetor?
