Portland has been crippled since Black Lives Matter protests. I pray for the safety of all. Many left the Portland Police Department because they had been basically told do nothing. My hope is that the city finally sees the errors caused by their previous mistakes. The police department has done the best they can. If anyone is to blame, it's the policymakers! Again, I pray for all involved.

It's sad in society when people play the victim but victimized.

Why don't they use the National Guard in these situations? The Guard today is an underutilized resource that probably shouldn"t be ignored. They used to train for these exact circumstances and their presence alone would curtail a lot of the violence. Most of the armchair and hobby terrorists would fade into the background if they knew their actions would make them accountable. The rest would find out the same thing after a jail sentence. Our tax dollars at work.

That as good point. I’ve wondered that too. A while back I noticed Pdx pd post a vid of a guy having what looked at first sight as a mental health tantrum outside the prescience mooning them and using a crow bar to try to beat the window/door. Except it could also be that the guy was calling hits on the precinct then this arson and the stuff they’re discussing here. While this man was tabtrimming outside the officer sat and recorded him but were laughing and heckling in a way that either way looks BAD. If the man was mentally ill, making fun of him instead of get him help looks in compassionate and disgusting. If he was calling hits cuz the green he wore and some of what he did might also indicate he could have been in with a elite crew and green being the top of that Heirarchy, it’s a dangerous move. So I let them know the guy for all they know could be In A gang and his colors could indicate rank, and he could be calling hits publicly. Green is also hit crew sometimes but it’s also a boss color. I wondered if they had missed that. Either way the heckling of the man didn’t help matters.
I think this idea for a liaison team protesters can meet with before to go over things and ask any questions, sounds like a possible innovative idea to problem solving while still allowing protesters their rights.
They also still owe me for helping them find 6 stolen cars once. Did it as a nice kind act long ago. Once they realized my method worked several times in a row they kept coming back. So sometimes police can come up with good problem solving ideas. Portland can do really well at these things or not so good. They didn’t do enough during the 90’s homeless crisis. Could have been not ignored and more shelters opened and coming up with housing. Cuz then it’s just more work for them dealing with each problem. Hopefully they handle this well in a way that works for protesters and can curb crime and keep people safe.

Also vancouver needs national guard first… just cuz it’s got a community wide hostage sitch currently not being handled well. In fact they might need reform tbh. This city is nuts. If you think Pdx is bad rn, up here laws aren’t even a thought in peoples heads, & more substance issues, & this is where cr*minals come to do the shiz. They have a more hands off attitude, which is no wonder I found a crime increase stat that said up by 167%!!! I’m like maybe if they policed shiz… like at all, except maybe aprehend some peeps out here so this community of hostages can be freed, cuz they’re parading attack dogs past houses! Break ins. Vandalism. Labs. It’s real bad. And these guys just hop from lab to lab out here and talk openly about things cuz they know pd is nowhere…. Except them 2 crime victims got arrested, maybe mistakenly in what now seems orchestrated events set up by the bad element of this community. One was an essential worker during the pandemic who was a victim of crime. And she may have just been sick that day cuz fumes readings in complex that day were super high. It can make one sick. So idk if they do anything out here but they might need national guard first, then Pdx can have them. Lol.
