you're the first person Ive seen do the slip stitch with a 12mm hook and i think this is what i have been missing because i can never get the tension of joining or anything right and it made me give up on my sentro
Thankful for your tutorials ☺️Was just wondering if you would considering doing the timestamps/sections to help w replays? Had a hard time going back to the sections I needed to check 😅
When you join the sleeves to the body using the crotchet hook and use the marker to hold them together, how do you finish them off so it doesn't unravel again? do you tie them?
@@wendelynyoung8609 Oh ya I’m aware of which yarn she used on this one. I was wondering about the first one she made in this style which she referenced from another video. She said the other one had a different drape so I was curious what yarn it was.
Thank you!! I used about 340 grams of the main color yarn (so I used about 1 1/2 skeins) and then for the two accent colors I barely made a dent in either skein. Sorry I totally forgot to mention that in my video!
@@quinnbender Thank you for that. That’s definitely not much yarn for such a “substantial” garment. Circular knitting machines are quite economical to use I feel. I look forward to your next offering. Have you tried lacy patterns on the machine? Have a wonderful day 🌹❣
I’m new with the sentro but can’t you just make a big panel for the back instead of two small ones that you attach after ? I guess it’s less work and you won’t have the line after ?
I needed the width of the back to be larger than the 48 pin machine is capable of making, so I needed to make two smaller panels and seam them together 😊
Thank you! Each panel was 38 stitches wide (about 12” wide according to my gauge). Depending on what size you’d like, your gauge, and which yarn you choose, you might need a different number of stitches for each panel though!
I really like the joining technique but it's a bit hard to understand in the link you provided. Does this sort of joining method have a name? I'm trying to understand how you're joining the panels when the waste yarn is still attached. Thank you!
Thanks....soy una chica española que me gustaria aprender y esta forma de tejer me gusta, por que hacer crocher me parece muy dificil y esta forma de tejer creo que sabre hacerla gracias
If you pull the tension of your yarn a little bit tighter at the start of every row, it should help minimize your chances of dropping stitches. It’s also important to pay close attention to the first and last needle while you’re knitting to make sure your yarn is getting caught by those needles. Hope this helps!
@@quinnbender Apparently, weights (such as clothes pegs or or those large paper file clips) at each end of a panel can help). It will slightly pull the first and last stitch down and stop them jumping out. Move them up as your knitting grows. 🌹❣
Can someone please help me, I want to make this cardigan on the sentro but the spaces in my knits are so large and I’m using a medium weight 4 yarn, the papatya angora to be exact. How can I use the sentro but have less spaces between each stitch like this cardigan? My one just looks so happy like I’m crocheting but I want the tight knit look 😅
@@quinnbender thanks so much for responding! I am pulling it the tightest it can go but I think I may have to get slightly thicker yarn also to get the achieved look.
I’d say it’s a medium! I was going for an oversized fit though, so the size I made could fit a variety of sizes! (Mine measures about 24” flat across and about 17” long)
This cardigan is so modern! The neckline and length, esp. Thanks so much! Glad I found you!😎
Умничка!Золотые ручки,так похожа на мою внучку Лизоньку,удачи и здоровья тебе дорогая!😊Привет из России.
Those tiny details are sooo pretty! And the final cut is a lovely fit!! Definitely on my to-do list!
Thank you so much! 😊
That joining method is great. Loving the cardigan. No decreases or increases to bother with
Currently making this sweater! Thank you so much for the tutorial ❤️❤️

Yayyyyy she did it! I’m so excited to see this I was waiting for this video!
I hope you enjoy it! 💕
this is so insanely cool this is the best video I've ever watched
Omg thank you so much!!
It’s soooo cute. I’m going to make a mini one for my baby this week 🥹

The sweater that you are wearing for the first part of the video. Did you make it? Can you share the pattern please?
Hey! I’m obsessed with this sweater. What kind of yarn did you use for the first one?
She says it in the description box. But it’s lion brand fisherman yarn, which is 100% wool number 4 weight yarn

Amazing 🤩
Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful work! I like this cardigan better than your first one. The yarn really makes it. How much yarn did you use? ❣️🌹

Apologies if I missed it but do you have a rough estimate on how much yarn you used?
Around 800 yards!
how do you stop the machine from dropping stitches at the start and end of the panel

What is the waste yarn and why
How many pins did you use
How can I adjust sizing?

It sounds like your tension is too loose! Try pulling a bit harder on your yarn as you knit to get a tighter tension ☺️
@@quinnbender thanks so much for responding! I am pulling it the tightest it can go but I think I may have to get slightly thicker yarn also to get the achieved look.
What size would you say the sweater is? Sm or Med?
I’d say it’s a medium! I was going for an oversized fit though, so the size I made could fit a variety of sizes! (Mine measures about 24” flat across and about 17” long)
genuine question: what does the waste yarn do? is there a reason the normal yarn can’t be used?
Waste yarn is so you have a nice edge it is also easier to see the stitches you want to join
Hoa many pin you use in arms and body please
Mine sentro have 48 pins
