I rarely get compliments, largely due to the unapproachable vibe that I seem to give off. That said, I got the most unexpected, unsolicited compliment while wearing Dior Homme 2020. Just passing by a woman at the store, she said as I passed, "Whatever cologne you're wearing, you smell *really* good." I couldn't help letting out an awkward laugh as I said thanks, I was so surprised by the interaction.
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Signature is my most complimented in my humble collection of over 50 frags. Y edp and Gisada Ambassador are very close runner ups
Le male parfum agreed is a classic that’s among my favorites. Agree with your assessment the lavender and vanilla spicy greatness

YSL Y EDP would be my most complimented but also my most worn. Mancera Cedrat Boise (the original) is probably my second most complimented but havent worn it as much. A lady at my work smelt me wearing Cedrat Boise and said I smelt amazing and had to get me to write down the name of it so she could buy a bottle for her husband.
where do you spray ysl y edp and how many sprays?
@@TyDixon In doors, I usually don't spray more than 3 times. Usually always twice behind the ears and one on the back of the neck or twice behind the ears and 1 on the shirt. I find on the front of the neck can get a bit cloying. I've tried 5 sprays at work and I was told it was too much 😆if you're outside, 4-5 sprays should be fine

That is so true. I never smell fragrances out in public. Maybe sometimes a woman or an old man. I usually wear two different fragrances every day. For example, chrome extreme for the day and Azzaro the most wanted intense at night both complement beasts.

How you smell matters! Separate yourself from other males. BO and lack of hygiene on guys will put you ahead on first impressions. CH 212 is my most complimented cologne. In my experience women like fresh and clean scents

You can’t clone a fragrance spot on and sell it for a quarter of the price. There’s a reason PDM commands a price tag

Best personal all time compliment getter for me has been Armani Mania. Something about the subtle smell that I like and women love it! About to finish my 3rd & final bottle as it has become too expensive ($400) for me. Know of a good clone?
Frags that got me the most attention would have to be Sauvage EDT (someone always notices whenever I wear this) 1 Million Lucky, women seem to love this scent. Dylan Blue and YSL Myslf seem to get noticed as well mostly in a positive way.
Never realized there was a 'Coal' note in Prada Carbon, honestly it would be an amazing Christmas gift. 🤣 Oh apparently Gucci Guilty Elixir has similarities to Amouage Reflection Man.. I smelled it in Ulta about a month ago but honestly forgot my thoughts on it because I smelled like 7 frags that day need to go back and revisit it.
Sp far for me, Explorer works great. Got several compliments on that.
Most compliments came from regular designers like John varvatos artisan pure and issey miyake leau dissey pour homme.

One of my top complimented ones is Tom Ford Beau de jour. It’s an awesome masculine fougere fragrance!
Allure Homme Eau always brings compliments. I had a wowed woman spin around and go out of her way to tell me how good my cologne was yesterday and it was just Dior Sauvage edp.
Sauvage just works. The Parfum is amazing.

Regarding the fact that ladies are not used in smelling men fragrances, I should add that nowadays most of the flirt takes place online. So even if the hot girl is approached by hundreds of men in social media, she gets no scent of them unless she actually dates one of them and he happens to wear a fragrance.

A bit of a backstory. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I go to six different facilities to treat patients. The cool part about this is that I have loads of females that give me feedback on different frags. The big hitters so far are:

I was wearing Dior Sauvage Elixir to my annual checkup. The nurse was doing my vitals and asked me what I was wearing. She continued to compliment how good it smelled throughout the exam.

Dunhill Egyptian Smoke is great. I like to visualize that it smells like sitting in a bar in Cairo, sipping whiskey and talking to an archeologist with the scent of sweet tobacco, spices, vanilla and papyrus in the air. But I have a very active imagination. 😀
Acqua di Gio Absolu. Just about every time I wear it I get a compliment. Also; Aventus clones. L'Aventure Intense and CDNIM Limited Edition Parfum never fail to be a hit with women. Believe it or not, I don't get the same reaction with the OG Aventus.

So far, the two that seem to get the most compliments are Azzaro The Most Wanted and Sauvage Elixer. I have a lot of fragrances, but those are the two that people notice and say something about. They always say I smell good. My wife loves them. Said she wanted to lick it off me!! That was the Azzaro! Good times.
For me it is Abercrombie & Fitch - First Instinct Extreme. Although I have much better and more expensive and mass-appealing fragrances in my collection.
