I've been using a Vallon VMH3CS for 5 years. I love it but it's bulky and veeeery heavy. The VMC1 looks even more poorly balanced, the control unit being not place under the arm. For those interested, I'd recommend strongly to use the earpiece and max the volume. Another point, I can't use a pinpointer as it interferes with the machine. As 99% of what you'll find will be iron, a magnet on the shovel is more efficient IMHO.
Its a great machine to be sure. I just need to be able to swing it over the gold. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Please subscribe if you like the content.
Thanks for the Vallon Demo,,,,It looks like a machine I could grow to like,,,I love the audio it makes. Is it any good for Inland?,,,Beach is 2 hours away and I don't drive,,Lol. Thanks Alec, Regards, Marty.
Hi Marty, Yes the Vallon is good for inland as well. It is actually a military mine detector. I was lucky enough to get one in almost new condition. I look forward to many hours with it at the beach, it hits on very tiny targets.
@@SurfDetector I noticed how good it was on small objects,,Looks a decent detector! Hope you find plenty of treasure with your new addition! Looking forward to your Op-amp results and hopefully a beach demo one day of your finished Crossbow. Regards, Marty.
Marty, The op-amp swap out was not as fruitful as I would have hoped. It looks like I shall have to be satisfied with ~20uS sample delay which I think my coil is driving . 20uS for the beach is ok. I didn't finish that video. I actually got tired of nulling the different op-amps over and over. I am going back to the 5532. Oh well that is what experiments are for. I am still trying to decide on an enclosure for the Crossbow, I want an extruded Aluminum but the size of the board wasn't well thought out as it isn't standard sized so I cannot find one to fit it.
@@SurfDetector You should be able to get the delay down lower than that with it being similar to the Mirage. I got 2 of my Mirages down to 8us but that was with using 3DSS Coils. With a Bundle wrapped coil I could only get down to 11-12us. I'll have a go experimenting when I've done mine but the pcb's still haven't arrived yet! Take care, Regards, Marty.

That is not a bad hunt brother that is going to find a lot on the beach top video brother
Thanks Terry, this is a top machine. I am going to get a work out with all of the digging :)

I attach a sling to it to help with the balance. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy Hunting
Beautiful place 👍👍👍
Yes, a beautiful beach. Too cold today only -4C. Thank you for watching my friend.
Good luck! It's a good one.
Thanks. I need to take a little break from building detectors if I can keep away from my work bench.
Hi just asking how big is the coil on the vallon ? Can you ground balance it or automatic?
I believe the coil is about 11 inches. The GB is automatic
❤
Nice machine, hope it finds gold for ya
