I have to admit, I'm not proud of this video. After I finished editing it, I realized just how greatly I antagonized content creators as a whole. While there are some bad actors at play within any community, most of the people that I've come across have been great, and I want to apologize for possibly making some of you feel ashamed for creating DBD content. Secondly, I talk about the toxic behaviour from content creators while ironically being a contributing factor in that behaviour. I go out of my way to mock two people out of 340 in my games that had entertainment platforms in their name, yet never stopped once to say thank you to anybody in particular for making the games more fun or interesting. With that being said, thank you specifically to sh8peshifter, slayer602, and MagicalMistros (all on Twitch) for making these games a lot more fun. Sh8peshifter and slayer were two Killer players I went against, and both of them let us escape on comedic merit, making the games just that much more interesting. Mistros was one of the folks that was in the infamous Midwich 0K match and they've been a wonderful presence ever since. Third and finally: my God the editing mistakes. I meant to have this out earlier, got distracted with some other projects, and then rushed to have this thing completed by doing what I feel was the bare minimum. So if this video doesn't feel quite as high quality as my other edited stuff, I do apologize for dropping the ball on this one. That's all. Thanks for reading.
Most of the chats I join are mostly wholesome,I’ve seen more toxicity for letting a TTV go then tunneling a TTV,overall a great experience as a new comer and I enjoyed my time :)
As a Dbd TTV Killer Main, I can confirm I only seem to get a spike in views when I lose rather than when I win. then followed by somewhere along the lines of "GG no kills haha ez" and other trash talk, Then I promptly ban them as I don't like sore winners. Occasionally I get good sports when I win and lose, receiving at the most a "GG" but usually they leave after I respond and I don't get to talk about the match with my opponents often. When I did spend one day playing Survivor for an entire stream I did receive more viewers and people actually had a little chat with me before parting ways. This just increasingly makes me lose more respect for survivors considering they aren't even willing to socialize with the killer that they were paired up with 99% of the time. This can make streaming only Killer gameplay a struggle, but I am happy being a killer main and won't change myself just for some views or likes. Rock on fellow killer mains! remember, people hate to admit it, but this game really does have an "Us Vs Them" mentality.
This was a great take. I recently just added TTV to my name cuz my friend was getting traction and I had been streaming for a few years now and had never thought about the TTV bringing people over. So I'm new to the new traction and I'm grateful cuz I also understand to just be chill and not take this so seriously cuz some people do mine for salt sometimes very very rare though most people I've come across are just trying to have fun and shoot the breeze between games.

love this video & the stats of it all! i normally play survivor (on console 😅) and am thankful for not being able to see endgame chat at times bc I know i'm not the greatest player lol. It definitely seemed like other survivors i played with loved to tell me how bad i was, as id i wasn't aware. but whenever i'd see someone with ttv in their username i'd go to say ggs even if they were roasting me to their audience lol. this had always made me wonder if dbd could create 2 match/round styles, one if you're trying to play sweaty or if you're just trying to have fun/learn!
Thank you! DBD having different queues would be interesting for sure because we've seen how that method works in practice with other games. Honestly, if BHVR wasn't so afraid to update more of its perks across the board, the meta would be robust and have room for more cheeky "experimental" builds that could work in casual play. And don't worry about underperforming- some people take themselves far too seriously ^^
I've been streaming for a while and honestly, it's mostly love. The only negativity I get is people who have different opinions about how I play killer. I had someone wait at the exit gate for me as the last person, just so I can walk over there and they can tbag me because I camped at end game to try and secure a kill or two. When I was talking about how lame it is to wait for the killer at gate just to tbag, I guess they were watching stream and got real angry
Adam teammates are so funny when they dc first hook! I always assume they run Deliverance and didn't get to use it, and I'm always right when I see their loadout endgame! XD
from my experience as the streamer, all ive had is good interactions even if i feel im playing sweaty. From 1 week ive gone up 24 followers with no toxicity as of yet. (this is not self promo, just my experience and how ive felt so far) one thing i have noticed is more people join a stream when youre playing survivor. ive had more people join when im on survivor than on killer.
I’ll be completely honest, DBD is just one of those games you never wanna put TTV in your name for. I leave my twitch in my steam bio but I never put it in my name cause it makes it easier to be singled out and targeted not just by killers but your fellow teammates if they wanna throw in the hope of you making content about it. Not all streamers are bad for this game but a good majority of them in one way or another just spreads negativity or has negativity sent their way and that’s the last thing this game needs, more toxicity.
I just watched the video.17 people dcing out of 85 games isnt too bad.When I play blight. Every other game I get a person who dcs.I'm a switch player so its really sad.

As in, if I revisit this "experiment" in a year from now, maybe I'll see more people disconnect and give up in my matches.

I’d like to point out that the content creators (most) that make “salty ttv content” do not glorify that behavior or condone it…I also don’t think people should generalize twitch streamers as bad or toxic people because that just isn’t the case. A few irritable streamers doesn’t make an entire community horrendous.
You're absolutely right! It's also part of the reason why I didn't like this video, but I made it anyway because I didn't want it to all go to waste. The community shouldn't be soured or represented by a few bad actors, despite how frustrated the opening of this video sounds.
Regardless if I did fifteen more games of Survivor or not, the stats themselves are already very clearly Survivor favoured. A difference in sample size makes next to no difference here. Conversely, would it have been more accurate in your mind if I negated the stats from the last fifteen games of Killer? Using the stats from the spreadsheet that I've linked in the description (so that you know I'm not making this up), let's take those first thirty-five games of Killer instead. In those thirty-five matches, I gained 5/140 followers (3.5%), had 8/140 new chatters (5.7%), and had 9/140 people disconnect/give up early (6.4%). There is no deviation in follower conversion overall compared to the fifty total games, and a +0.8% and -0.1% margin of difference in new chatters versus quitters, respectively. Or, if I were to take the "best" results from the Killer side by pulling the stats that favour me, that's still 7/140 (5.0%) followers and 13/140 new chatters (9.3%). The percentages here are _still_ showing as less than what I gathered on the Survivor side.

Honestly 3.5% conversion rate is actually really great for cold prospecting (I’m in marketing) bigger brands have worse conversion rates - under 1%.
