@@ITProjectManagers please can I ask you a question?
Why is that these days people expect project managers to be domain expert? I think it’s wrong.
Hi Do you have any videos how to create Network diagram with example, not only general Task 1 task 2 and so on. I created WBS but i found big huge difficulty to create Network diagram as my arrows go's nowhere and i can't found also the critical Path, is any video with examples
Hi Anatolie. No, I don’t have a video on the Network Diagram. It’s something that we use very rarely in the IT industry.
Nevertheless, here’s what you need to understand:
1. WBS is the structure for the project scope. It doesn’t show any work dependencies. Only how work packages relate to a Deliverable.
2. You assign dependencies on activities level. Here you’ll have hard dependencies between activities where they. should go one after another. However, in most cases you need to set a soft dependancies based on you best judgment. If you use a project management software you need set it up explicitly. Only after that, you’ll see a critical path.
3. I suggest you review this article on Project Scheduling for more details: pmbasics101.com/how-to-create-realistic-project-schedule/
Hi Dimitriy, Where can I get the Career Change Cheat Sheet? Thank you!
I've decommissioned that cheat sheet. But I have a better option for you. Check this article and find out about the Micro Projects approach: pmbasics101.com/software-project-manager/
I'm sure it will help you in a better way. After that, I recommend watching a video on how to become a project manager: th-cam.com/video/o-ODjzcxgps/w-d-xo.html
Can you give advise on universities that offer IT project manager master programs in Russia?
Russia is a terrorist state. I wouldn’t recommend you planning out your life there.
Hi Dmitriy, how can I contact you?
The best way is to get this PDF Guide: pmbasics101.com/youtube-cheat-sheet/
