Tbh the way I learned cv2 was just using the fuck around and find out method by making experiments and slowly expanding said experiment over time to learn more circuits and it’s actually a very good method if you’ve coded before out of rec room
I learned cv1 from ^TutorialRooms but there wasn't any CV2 there so I just taught myself how to use CV2 Also before I knew how to do circuits I tried connecting the button v2 to cv1 chips because they are in the same tab and it didn't work but then I found the button v1 in props and it worked, also tutorial rooms don't show you how to use signs so I had to use the configure tool to find out how to use signs.
I’m wondering is there a way so that after you kill a bunch of goblins you can then go to the next act I’m making a quest. What I mean is can I make the door locked until you kill them all
I need help for something, I’m working on a game and I want to have a costume with claws that can damage other players, the problem is, I can’t really do that! If I use swords, they will probobly just drop them (that person isn’t allowed to pick up objects) and I don’t think you can put circuits on costumes, so what do I do for this?
Hmmmmm thats a hard 1 its definitely possible but ill have to jump in and try to make something idk how to even start, maybe set position of sword to follow position and rotation of players hand who has the costume but man thats a guess
@@theRCLman hmm.. I’ll try experimenting with locations but I suck at it, but you could a,so do something with putting things on locations, so we could probobly start with that and then try and go farther, sound good?
@@-.CosmicCode.- you can also try the “Equip Item To Player”(i think thats what its called) and for the bool , change it to true. On the costume make it so that it adds a tag to a player, then get a “Get first player with tag” and connect the player output to the player input in the Equip chip, and change the tags to whatever you like. For the sword or other weapons do the same but make sure only certain players can equip them. Then get the “Get first Rec Room Object with Tag” Chip and connect the object output to the object output on the “Equip Items” chip. You can use respawn gadgets to spawn the swords in a separate area. If need be, I can make a room and make you a co-owner on it?

hmmmm kinda hard now with cv1 ending games and cv2 not being able to, probably how to use a v2 to cv1 converter,attachcubr to cv2 piston. when person eliminated have the piston turn on and make the cube enter a cv1 trigger volume then when thing enters trigger volume hook to a set games state cv1 to end game
@@theRCLman so what i am going to try, is when a player isn’t local in the trigger volume that adds the role that makes the monster chase you, it’s ends the game. (when every player dies, the game automatically ends.) thanks a lot
still not sure if this is accurate, a while ago someone claiming to be him said he was but then he asked me to come and vouch for him to say he was real, the thing is me and yoes were never friends or anything, never talked, so how you gonna ask someone to vouch for you (after you come back from the dead) when you have never spoken to each other before. seems sus to me
