I can't believe this was released 20 years ago. I bought this cd from my brother's record label when it came out. I was still in High School at that point. Time swallows us all as the night swallows the light.
The inverted pentagram (star drawn with connecting lines) represents the four elements (just like the right-side-up version,) however the down point represents the self, and self-fulfilled prophecy/left hand path ideology. When drawn upwards, the up point represents unity with the forces of nature and natural deities. The symbol behind the man to the right in the picture is the LaVeyan Cross, the symbol of atheistic Satanism and of self-faith and worldly knowledge/pleasure. The name Belial refers to a fallen angel that fell as a Ba'al (ancient Jewish god of a particular landmark or place,) and he resides currently as the Lord of Lies, directly under the 7 cardinal dæmons, Satan (wrath,) Lucifer (pride,) Belphegor (sloth,) Asmodeus (lust,) Beelzebub (jealousy,) Mammon (gluttony,) and Leviathan (envy.). His place is to punish pathological liars and traitors, and he has been given this punishment by Yahweh (g-d.) keep in mind, this is Christian mythology. Do with that statement what you will.
