I think arc of tooth should be drawn by taking center point on base circle not on pitch circle to get involute profile .please clarify.

In this video he is using base circle method in which the centre point of tooth arc is taking on circle of center profile arc which is drawn by the help of base circle that's why the method is known as gear profile by base circle method.
