WAZZU is a great school, and they go all in on Football. Unlike CAL & Stanford, they are a perfect fit for the BIG 12. They play exciting games, and have fans throughout the country. Everyone keeps mentioning how small Pullman is, but that’s just the campus….their fans are passionate and spread all over the Northwest and pull bigger TV ratings than a lot of the BIG 12 schools, especially in the Seattle/Portland media markets. They’re definitely a Power 5 Program

Pullman might be small but the majority of our alum is from the Seattle area. WSU also has large branch campuses in larger cities such as Spokane, Vancouver and the Tri-Cities so it is very far reaching. There is more to WSU then people realize.

I hope OSU and WSU get in. The biggest travesty about this whole realignment process is that smu (Spending Money University) was able to buy their way into the ACC, while deserving teams like WSU and OSU got left out. Embarrassing for smu and it shows lack of integrity by the ACC. ACC is selling a membership.

As a WSU alum, I wouldn't want us in the ACC. It's too far away and we can do better reforming the PAC-12 with Mountain West teams, which is our baseline default option at this point. After Clemson and FSU leave, the conference will be mid level at best.
The bay area schools have acted stupidly, which is ironic for how smart they think they are. They've left WSU and OSU with the money from the PAC-12 and now the bay area schools get to travel to the East coast regularly, for a pittance share in TV revenue. They must be more worried about their programs than we are. Frankly they know their athletic programs are on trial and this is probably their last hurrah.

Plus it’s not a slam dunk, that W/OSU will win. Also, ESPN/Fox can afford to pay their lawyers, Will W/OSU be able to afford it the tens, maybe hundreds of millions it’ll cost in legal fees?

However, are not going to get stepped on and just do nothing. This is made all the more likely when you consider Kansas is the only current Big 12 team with multiple National Championships. More likely we see this. West: Uof A, ASU, Utah, BYU North: Colorado, K-State Kansas Iowa State. South: OSU, Baylor, Tech and TCU East: Houston, Cincy, WVU and UCF. If there is a university to take the fall, Houston would do far better. This will likely be the Big 12 census until we get a crack at ACC teams like Pitt and Louisville. We need no Pacific affiliates. You are asking for trouble we do not need. I appreciate that the new Pac fans would not want to leave OSU/WSU behind, but this is what you all bargained for. Plus there is no guarantee that the 2 schools will win! Its not a slam dunk case.
The fact is that the 2 unis have a lot to loose if they take the networks to court. Its not a case of simply shaking down the networks and demanding they find a P4 home for both schools, or else? That or else is a very weak threat, and the networks know it!

Mafia is wrong, plus no other team has uniforms that are as 🔥 Colorado does, plus Deion loves Cowboy hats. Deion has carte blanche in Colorado, and Deion won't move for a few million dollars because he makes way more than that in endorsements. Deion does things his way, Colorado's 2024 recruiting class will tell a lot.

Please stop judging everything at Colorado by the window dressing, there is more to this than money -
No one in Boulder thinks Colorado can or wants to replace replace Texas, Texas sucks (the school not the state, though an argument can be made...but that's a discussion for another day).
On promises - actually, Dion DID make several promises when he arrived in Boulder, none of which allude to leaving in one or two years. - 1) was win a championship. Additionally, everyone who pretends knowledge of CU and Coach Prime, seem to love to lump Coach Prime with every other coach in football. Do your homework before sprouting crap. If money was the issue, he would never have come to Colorado in the first place, other several P5 schools offered a lot more. Coach Prime as much as said the money IS NOT why he coaches or came to Colorado, he already has his bag. SO anyone who can simply pay more is kicked to the curb. If and when Coach Prime leaves it will likely be somewhere closer to home and a place that he feels he is needed, again money is not likely to be the driving force.
On Coach Prime to the NFL, he gave a very lucid and logical reason for not wanting to coach in the NFL in his interview with Joel Klatt (and again shut the f...up about the money already NOT A DRIVING FORCE FOR COACH PRIME - HE HAS HIS BAG!!!!!, HE SAID SO).
Finally, Coach Prime's faith is everything to him, not a guy to make promises he does not intend to keep. That all said, no one in Boulder thinks Dion's tombstone is in Boulder. However, there is no reason to believe that he is not truthful about loving the school, the city, and the area. The common belief around Boulder is Dion will be here about 4-6 years, he will right the ship and get it in a place to be relevant again. After which, when that "Dream Job", which only Dion would know rolls around, he likely won't be leaving just to leave for money OR because it is in the SEC, see comment above about being needed.
On a side note - f... the SEC. Several schools in the SEC and ACC had a chance to get him and they f...d up. Coach Prime DOES keep receipts and loves to let those who did not have faith in him learn the hard way that they f...d up, (my words not his).
Any school that wants Dion is going to have to give him the keys to the house and the Porsche to do the job as he wants to do it. He will still likely get paid well, but it is unlikely to be the driving force for if/when he leaves Boulder.
Again, before talking out your ass, please do some homework so you can at least pretend to have actual knowledge about what's happening in Boulder. We comin....to the Big 12!

3 PODs of 4 each in the west and 3 PODs of 4 each in the Cebtral+Eastern regions ?
That way, you have balance, somewhat, and you get to add the remaining 7 best programs out west plus UConn:
    1. UConn
    2. Oregon St
    3. Washington St
    4. SDSU
    5. Fresno
    6. Colorado St
    7. Boise St
    8. Either: AF or Utah St (both of which have great media viewership numbers, comparatively speaking).

7:28 Quantity is a law of diminishing returns in conference realignment, depending on the schools added, and the Big 12 is at the peak of its Bell Curve, for now. Adding more schools does not necessarily equate to a stronger conference.
Adding the Beaves and Wazzu pushes the Big 12 down the curve. 1 recently good season from either school does not materially, positively impact their brand unless it's a Natty. A brand takes decades to build.
Their football and basketball teams have not consistently finished near the top of their conference. Moreover, Wazzu is having obvious financial troubles right now. It is *not* the Big 12's responsibility to bail these schools out, but I too think these schools will be added, unfortunately.

    • @CharlesFosterMalloy
      @CharlesFosterMalloy 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

But the diminishing returns isn't reached yet, AND, that's why there is a battle for the bottom of those schools that will come in above the diminishing returns cut-off... using your own logic against you here, and rightfully so. You are right but you are wrong at the sane time.
      The problem is choosing wisely.
Big12 will go to 30 or 32 members eventually in order to compete with SEC & Big10.
ACC may do so as well, or else fold.
Big12 has a head start on the ACC and may inherit some quality ACC schools to finish off Big12's 30 or 32, but until then, Bug12 goes to 24 or 25, mostlikely 25, with 5 PODs of 5 or 6 PODs of 4 each.

They are not a 'cultural fit' with Trxas schools and not a geographic fit with anyone. The reason why none of the PAC12 teams wanted to join the Big12 is because it's just another slow sinking ship and will definitely have a recruiting disadvantage compared to the B1G and SEC. The four new teams added this year are mediocre. Prime will only be in Bolder for another year at best. There very well could be no team in the Big 12 that's in the top 15 starting 2024. It's a basketball conference now. Eventually, there will only be the Power 2 and the bad teams in those leagues will relegate schools for others from the Big12 and ACC.
