Kajal I am very happy you could be there to show your love and support for your brother. You are a wonderful sister to do this. What a great family you must belong to. Your brother earned his place as a wonderful Gurka soldier. I am so proud of his achievement. He will be a great soldier! Much love to you and your family!
This brought tears to my eyes, i'm so proud of the Gurkahs. If you are reading this, i'm so proud of you. Thank you for everything you do. I would do anything for you, your family or Nepal. Thank you so much.
Proud of them all, my Dad was with them in Malaysia, he always spoke very very highly of them, I remember he told me... if you ever needed a good soldier at your side in battle he said they don't come much better than a Gurkha.
Magnificent young men. Their families must be extraordinary proud. It's so good to know that there are still a few people who strive for excellence. Fantastic!
We the British truly admire our Gurkhas. What wonderfully polite men they are, and truly respected and feared in equal measure by our allies and enemies. A credit to Nepal. A wonderful regiment, and a credit to Britain. 👍 🇬🇧 🇳🇵
Not from Britain, and we do know the capabilities to Gurkha soldiers. But as a former military person and now a tech firm owner, I respect military prowess but I am afraid of no enemy.
Bless them and keep them safe. We had a Gurkha Engineering Company in Nova Scotia at CFB Aldershot years ago doing repairs. Great men and better soldiers.

Totally agree, these fantastic soldiers are prepared to give their lives in service to a country on the other side of the world. If they are willing to take that step, then they should automatically get citizenship and the chance to live in the country they choose to defend.
Nepalese people, gurkhas.they are a credit to themselves wherever the are,we have loads of them where I live, near aldershot, and we couldn't be more gratefull..lovely,just to know there here...make the world a better place and be Nepalese they are superb people
From all that I have read and seen in documentaries about the Gurkhas, these men are exceptional. They are not merely members of a superlative fighting tradition steeped in courage, loyalty, and exceptional skill at arms, they are at the same time respectful, polite, and devoid of the negative elements present in youth culture in Western culture for many generations (myself included back when I was their age). I have a great admiration for you, gentlemen. I wish you all the best in your military career and in life in general.
These men are so humble and polite. But I tell you what! You dont want to get on the wrong side of a Ghurkha. Fierce and loyal warriors. We are so lucky to have these men in the British army!
I had twice mixing with the Ghurkas. 1st occassion was in the early 60's as a very young school boy during the INDONESIAN CONFRONTATION in Sarawak.. They are very friendly and like to mix with us as a young kid and giving a lot of chocolates, sweets and canned food as well. It was bcos they were basing up temporarily in our school compound. And the 2nd occasion was during our Joint Military Exercise in Malaysia in the mids 70's. As a Sarawakian Natives SOLDIER , it was very interesting to be with them especially having the available food sources from various edibles plant and putting up animal trap in the jungle. They are good learners & listeners as well as a good jungle fighting men which are equivalent to us in the Malaysian Ranger Regiment of the Malaysian Army. Wishes all the young Gurkhas Military Man to be succesful in their Military life and hope they will earn the OFFICERS COMMISSION to those who excel in their career and no less as the NCOs In the other rank & file, but do try to snatch and added up the VC to their names. That great. BRAVO TO THE GURKHAS!!!!!.
Humbled to have men of that calibre who want to serve in the British army God bless the Scottish, English, welsh, and Irish men and women who's service should not be forgotten.
My grandfather, a Welshman, was British Infantry, fighting for the King's Peace on the Western Front. I think he would be very pleased to see these fine men become Gurkha Soldiers of the United Kingdom.
Congratulations to our newest Gurkhas! The latest of Nepal's fine lads now in the Army. Good luck to all. The 2019 intake at Catterick is even bigger. A new battalion for the Gurkha Brigade is being recruited this year - 3rd Battalion Royal Gurkha Regiment. Ayo Gorkhali!
I don't know what's wrong with me, every time I watch the Gurkhas I find myself smiling. I feel for the man whose family couldn't get to see his big day, the Icelandic volcano eruption had forced to stay at home as the planes were cancelled when our son was passing out, we were gutted. I hope they have gotten to see him since, I'm sure they are as proud of their young man as I am of mine.
