Simple yet Best demonstration I have seen so far! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 👀
Very cute, very pretty! How fun that the drainage holes on planters make perfect tubing holes for fountains! Hehe. (And use an awl or drill if the hole isn't the right size.) Just safety notes for folks: Be sure to use electricals (pump, cables, extension cords) rated for outdoor use (bad = will say "indoor use only") and mind the path of the cord so it doesn't trip anyone nor get cut (esp while on!). Be aware that most submersible pumps will overheat if not kept submerged underwater so read the manual to be sure & keep the reservoir full so you don't fry your pump. Most of all, be creative with your ideas and have fun! \^_^/
If you don't have the space for a big fountain, you can make a tabletop fountain, maybe a waterfall, and repurpose old or new ceramic or resin planters or figures, stones, slate, glass vases, & all sorts of stuff! Oh _and_ remember silicone comes in that clear type like in the video or opaque black, and if you want clean lines cos you need it on a visible surface, put some tape to peel away clean lines, or cut off excess with a razor (carefully!!) & peel the rest. And superglue gel works great underwater to secure small things together, like stones you might not want tumbling. Cheers!
Love the pots/terracotta bowls. Where do you get them? They are gorgeous!

That’s a beautiful bird bath. 🥰
Glad you like it . Thanks
@@DIYStories you are very welcome.
If those are porous Terra cotta pots, the water will be quickly evaporating! Your pots need to be sealed or glazed ceramic or resin.
Yes you are right. It is recommended to use glazed pot 👍
You can also coat Terracotta with a sealant to make it non-porous, which this person could retroactively do👍
@@DIYStoriesI was going g to ask this question, too. Thanks! This turned out beautifully.

You can use plastic pots. Cuts cost. Get them on sale. Look at thrift shops.
yes exactly, you can use plastic pots.
so nice dr..
If pot is sitting flush on bottom, how is water getting inside where pump is to recycle to the top.
Thanks for watching! Basically the water pump is taking up the water from bottom to top and in this way water is recycling.
No! There is no way enough water could get back under that pot to the pump! You would need to drill 3-4 holes through that pot to allow enough water in for the pump to recirculate it.
Terracotta pots when they get soaked all day long will crack,no?
Wish i could nake it.thanks for the video 👍❤️
Thanks for watching and i am glad that you liked it 👍
These fountains Don't spill over, aren’t they?
So where did you purchase these big pots and how much did they cost?
And how much maintenance is it to have to clean this water from all the debris from the air and keep it from getting slimy and nasty etc.? Do you put some type of chemicals in it and is that safe for all the mosquitoes and other things that will drink other water ?
Nice
Thanks
Was that puddle u put around the PVC pipe? How long did it have to dry before turning on the pump
Looks like silicone

Do you glue pots so they stay to side and off center and any problem from tipping?
How do you get leaves from.getting into the pots and clogging the motor?
Where did you get the pots?
It's all good until you have to clean it. Lol
Lol
From where we can get this water pump ?
It's easy to find in most hardware stores, pet stores, & their sites, and on the usual mega-big ones with the human rights violations... Usually called a submersible aquarium pump, fountain pump, or pond pump, they're used for fish tanks, ponds, or for decorative fountains. It's "magnetic impeller driven", _not_ an "air pump"; that's different - those are usually a diaphragmic pump for blowing air through tubes, not water, and by the way these are NOT submersible!
Note the shape of the pump, which is pretty universal. (Colour is irrelevant but they're usually black or dark gray but can have any other.) Another key to finding these is the key info on the specs sheet or often the title will note *GPH* (gallons per hour) or *LPH* (litres per hour). There's also GPM or LPM (gallons/litres per minute) but that's usually for larger types.
Idk what these cost around the world, but in North America & Europe it should cost like $10, and hardware stores sell the simple clear vinyl tubing by the foot or metre (a few $ or € per).
Sorry if that was way too long.
Hi nice fountain. What type of pipe you used at the top and whats that you put around it? Also did you use a electrical or solar pump?
Looks expensive..how do you fine those at home depot
Thanks for watching! I found them at a nursery store.
@DIYStories…. which nursery store?
These pots are anywhere between $125.00 - $225.00 just for one. You are looking at around $400.00 - $600.00 in just making your own. You may as well buy one or "2" outright for that much money!!!
Love the music what’s the name of the song?
i dont remember the name but i found it on TH-cam music library.
Good luck when having to clean it out! LOL.....
Where would you recommend buying this pump at?? Thank you
If we touch the water will there be electric shock?
No! Never! because these water pumps are designed for aquariums and other underwater utilities, which means these products has passed QA and are safe.
It's the best video
Thanks
What nursery did you purchase pots?
The terracotta is porous. Possibly not a good choice for this.
I believe they are plastic.😊
lol you can make the same with plastic.
How do I save this?
Click on options icon and click save 👍
Kya mujhe mil skta h
Sorry we don't sell. This is just an idea to share.
I love this! What size pump?!
Thanks for liking. Water Pump is 25watts.
@@DIYStoriesWhere are the electrical wires?
Those pots are porous and don't hold water very well. Also, those large pots are VERY expensive!
where can i buy waterpump.
Recently seen sum in a fish food isle at walmart
Wow
Thanks
Where did you get the pots?
I bought them from a Nursery store.
