- Hapless plumber Billy has always struggled with gambling - he claims it's under control, but with bills and repossession notices piling up, his wife Michelle is close to breaking point. Billy has had to sell his van to pay off debts, and is getting by on small plumbing jobs. Even then Billy can't help himself - he gambles the money a customer gave him for parts, and ends up having to steal a pair of taps from the betting shop toilets to complete the job. Even his mate Dave won't lend him any money - he's on the ropes.
have to say watching this is powerful stuff.i have a gambling problem and people on here mouthing off about people gambling need to realise it's an addiction and I hope it never happens to them as it's 1 off the devious addictions going
Well said sir an good luck I too struggle on an off it's all good when you win a little but it only seems to create more craving to go more to get that win feeling I fight it alot an if I'm busy at fishing or on the water I'm fine but if I'm in city bored I cave in odd time an say fuck it I need a session I try watch cash bet smallest bet possible but still end up chasing an chasing leads to empty but if you've loads seems you'll hit eventually an likes a stop an step an ,,7 neighbors play max bet an know buy silvers an bronze pots size witch machines or loaded in bookies slots but truth is they will jackpot in few hundred or less for them alot an most min wage slaves only have say a hundred after bills an car bills an best not start coz you can't get it going on that you need bankroll stay away from slots unless your loaded

I think everybody is missing the point. There's many comments saying 'worst gambler ever, he never wins' etc etc. I think the point they are trying to make is that by gambling, you only lose. No matter how much/big you win, You'll gamble it all back anyway

I have recently come to the realization I have a gambling problem, I hid my money troubles from my wife until I was backed into a corner and had to come clean. She is standing by me and helping me. I’m 15 days clean and feel the best I’ve felt in years! This drama hits home so many times it’s not even funny….. maybe not having 50 on number 6 in a 2 dog race though!

I hope to hear back from you and I hope you did manage to beat this horrible addiction to gambling I too am in the throes of addiction I have an addictive personality so I get addicted to stuff real quickly I got addicted to prescription painkillers in a massive way and nearly ended up dead I had loads of fits and blackouts blood transfusions and hospital admissions where I got help from the addiction services which saved my life. My partner and my sister also had addictions to the same painkillers and sadly my sister couldn't beat her addiction and was too embarrassed to get help she passed away 2 days after my 50th birthday and on the same day my 1st grandchild was born this year 2022.my partner got help from the addiction services and was doing really well but was given a bitter blow and was diagnosed with stage 4 emphysema 2 years ago she is now in a wheelchair unable to walk. I am battling addictions to gambling on fruit machines at the moment iv done it on and off most of my adult life and lost tens of thousands of pounds along with property and expensive items of jewelery and technology. It's a nightmare trying to beat the addictions but iv had them all over the years from sex to cocaine and speed and ecstacy anyway that's my story so far do get back to me I'd love to hear from you buddy regards jason x
Supportive, decent, working and attractive wife at home and he is more taken with gambling in a betting shop full of down and outs and criminals. This seems bizarre but is in no way fiction, gambling is a corruptor.

This only shows him losing.... I gamble - I used to gamble far too much. The gambler always loses in the long run, but it is the short-term big wins that you live for. This programme only shows him losing.

You realise horses aren’t travelling at 40mph actually they rarely do. Especially in a jumps race they average 30 or even slightly under. Especially towards the ends of races just after the final few jumps.
