I love how insanely strong negan is that he was cut in the throat and still managed to break rick's leg.
This compendium is the best one in my opinion and yet the next one is also great
One thing I would like to hear you touch on more is the relationship Andrea has formed with Rick and Carl. There will be a scene coming up between Carl and Andrea which leaves the readers with such a wide range of complex emotions.
Can you check out the “Here’s Negan” graphic novel? It tells his whole backstory and how he got started, from the start of the apocalypse. it’s pretty good imo and it helps understand his psyche.

Glen dying works better in the comic because the show had the cliffhanger. Taking a very pivotal point in the story and making it into a cringe hashtag promotional marketing ploy

The Negan arc and the Whisperer arc are so good! I find it hard to pick a favorite arc, it's always a toss up between these two arcs in the story.

Negan is way better just for the F-Bombs he constantly drops compared to the show that doesn’t like strong language on a show that has insane gore 😂
I stopped watching the tv show after season 3, and never read the comic, so it's interesting to see how things panned out there. Looking forward to the next one!

Negan arc is my favorite
Best compendium ever!
I think Maggie not killing Negan or killing him doesn't matter, in the show ((BTW MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THW SHOW)) she wants to do it but Rick doesn't let her, I think it's the same in the comics, I don't remember. But in the show, When Maggie had the opportunity, she saw what rick intended, Negan was awful in jail, he wanted to off himself or let someone else do it, he begs maggie to kill him. Maggie doesn't do it cause she wants him to suffer for Glenn's death, but that doesn't make her feel better. Later in the story he is released, and tries to redeem himself even saving Maggie a few times but doesn't achieve it, he cannot redeem himself no matter what he tries to do. And in the final episode of the tv it brings kind of a conclusion to the story. Maggie simply tells Negan that it doesn't matter, killing him or not it's no use, cause the pain of his husband, not being there is not gonna go away by killing him, there is no way that whatever she does to him it's gonna relieve the pain of Glenn's murder. She finally says to him that she will never be able to forgive him, no matter how hard he tried to do so, cause it's simply not possible.
btw the introduction of the whisperers and some scenes with them are by far some of the best in the show, specially one with Beta that just looks amazing. And I think from the whisperers introduction to the finale the show really picks up and goes back to the holy place, but so many people were already tired with TWD so it didn't have a lot of views but men, season 10 to 12 are amazing!
Why is there a sudden art style change in the comics? The first few issues have a really crisp style then it abruptly shifts into a more rugged less polished look.
Because it's two different artists
Tony Moore did pencils and ink for issues 1 to 6
Charlie Adlard did pencils and ink for issues 7 to 193
There's also a third inker Stefano Gaudiano for issues 115 to 192.
@@mrsticky005 ah that makes sense. I wish they'd stuck with the original artist though. He was pretty slick.
I had a tough time with Adlards art at first but it grew on me, especially when it gradually became more polished.
3:53 idk why but that edit had me Lmao. One day I hope we get an animated series like we got with invincible, maybe changing things like Shane surviving and leaving. Then to find out he’s with the saviors and helps Rick and the group.
I'd rather Shane stay dead.

What I mean when getting a animated series is they can change things about the story like they did with the invincible show.

i see you moved to western comics they are better produced better quality drawing and better dialogue but still the japanese unique old school way or talking and cheesy symbolism will make it feel less grounded in reality and give that vibe that you are in a different universe.. as far as imagination and escapism japanese comics will always have the edge
both are great in their own ways
