Hello, great video. Can you explain how you trimmed the carpet so nice? Did you cut just holes in the carpet for the clip holes? And how did you cut the carpet to fit that screw on the side? Thanks!
Hi, I admit that I did a bad job showing that... I basically had to locate where the hooks go into the chassis and cut it out on the carpet. I didn't use the mounting screw to hold it down. Once you get it into place, it doesn't really go anywhere. As soon as you put the side cover back on, it lines up perfectly with the footrest and kinda locks it into place. Good luck, I hope you can replicate this because it really improves the look and protects the original components of the car.
Make sure you take a sharp knife otherwise it will just mess up the carpet. Also you will not get the holes perfectly but the footrest obviously covers the holes so don't worry too much about getting it perfect.
@@manisautos6373 Thanks for the detailed explanation :) Nice that you didnt have to screw it in, so no need for a knife/scalper cut on the side (just the hook holes on the footrest). I just ordered a set from AliExpress, will post a reply on here with a picture :)
Hi, while doing this i accidently dropped the Nail which holds the footrest inside somewhere and cant find it. You think this will cause an electrical problem ilke messing up with cables etc. Or maybe damage the car?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I don't think that this should cause any difficulties. If you want to go on the safe side, then get a long magnet from ebay or something and try the retrieve it. But I wouldn't worry too much.
Thank you. Maybe will be my next upgrade on my Leon 😁
Nice work 😁 Thanks
Exelente trabalho. Muito obrigado

Are these the same for pre facelift?

No Grabaste como cortas la tela 😅
In hindsight, I should have done that, but another viewer asked how I did it. Just look in the comment ☝️
