Jennie and Jisoo both have such youthful looking faces, back than and even now, that there are certain camera angles where they both look 12 years old. There's a behind the scenes video of Playing With Fire and it has a part showing Rose' being anxious about the hugging scene, with Lisa and Jisoo running around teasing her about it. It's quite funny.
Fr Jennie hits different she is the reason why I'm into kpop, her charisma, talent, aura, it's unmatched. Truly an ace!

Ive been a Blink since 2016 and to this day Playing With Fire is still my favorite song. Only song that comes close to it for me is LSG. And Stay has a special place in most Blinks heart since Jennie wrote it and personally gives me so much Nostalgia.

Lisa's video of her Swalla dance performance in their 2018(i think that was the year) Manila tour, introduced me to BP. I got curious who Lisa is and the group she belongs TO. I then binge watched all their videos and got hooked.The rest is history.

I always forget how STAY sounds bc I prefer the Japanese version and only listen to that one (just like with SEE YOU LATER). some insight for Esosa, STAY is a very meaningful and emotional song for Jennie bc it reminds her of her trainee days and how far they've come. She was the one that trained the longest (6 years) and had to say goodbye to a lot of friends she made along the way bc they didn't make the cut for what would become BLACKPINK. if you remember that concert video of JENNIE crying, it's because of the song and it amused her how they could be singing on a freaking arena. Jennie also said she worked on the song (but since she wasn't credited, it probably meant that she was there in the making process). Keep up the good work!!

STAY Music Video Story Analysis
18:29 So the music video started with Lisa looking as the pink balloons went flying.
pink means: pink signifies romance, charm, inner peace, physical weakness, the tender kind of love, pink is also used to soften frustration. We already established that the song is about being on the verge of a breakup and asking the beloved to stay even though the situation itself is already hurting the persona. So I think the pink balloons flying represents the stage of letting go of the one you love and accepting the situation and pain it brings.
18:37 The next scene shows the girls together in an abandoned place. The sign at the back says, “Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.” If we take into consideration the fact that the director for iKON’s Apology and BLACKPINK’s Stay is the same guy, everything would make sense. In the last part of Apology MV, a message says, “To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven.” I’m assuming that heaven in Stay is still associated with love. They got to experience heaven when they fell in love but now that the one they love is leaving, that heaven has become a place where nothing ever happens because they were left on their own.
18:50 The scene shows Rosie wandering on her own. I feel like Rosie’s scene represents the first stage of post-breakup: Denial expressed in sadness. She’s wandering on her own to think where did it go wrong, at what point did the relationship start to fall apart, etc. Even her lines are begging the other person to stay with her.
19:09 The scene is Jennie’s part; the charmant sign caught my attention because charmant in French means charming or bewitching (hence, prince charming). So it could mean that the persona got bewitched by the person he/she loves or by love itself. I don’t think the drinks were put randomly either; it most likely symbolizes the stage of a breakup where we would get drunk to forget. At the back, there’s a sign that reads, “You owe me; look what happens with love.” It’s message that holds so much resent and pain in its tone. So basically, I think Jennie’s scene represents the anger stage after breakup where you would rather drink to forget and blame that person for all the pain.
19:43 Two colors are noticeable in this scene: purple and yellow. This is another irony; yellow represents hope while dark purple represents the feeling of sadness. At the side, there’s also a sign that says “It’s a good day.” I think Jisoo’s scene represents the stage of breakup where you’re trying to be okay even when you’re still broken. I might be reaching but at first, I really thought Jisoo sitting on the swing by herself symbolizes being left hanging. Jisoo’s trying to find hope but the dark purple smoke shows her true feeling of sadness.
20:41 There’s a green smoke while Lisa was rapping. Green represents hope, growth, and rebirth. I think Lisa’s scene represents the final stage: acceptance. In the other scenes of the song, Lisa was seen inside the building by herself but when her part came, she’s already outside; I think it signifies how we keep our pain to ourselves but there would come a time when we’ll finally be strong enough to let the pain out, accept everything, and welcome a new start.
20:52 Lisa’s aligned with the color green: hope and rebirth
Jennie with orange: change and freedom
Rosé with blue: faith and stability
Jisoo with pink: inner peace and acceptance
Basically all the colors represent the feelings after letting go.
And So the last scene shows all four girls dancing and hugging. I think this scene concretizes the feeling of freedom after letting go and accepting. There’s “I wish you were here” written under “Dance with me.” The latter message could be expressing the feeling of freedom while the former message expresses the longing. The time will come when you’d finally find the good in goodbye but it doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t be missing the person you once loved. It’s also noticeable how there are guys wearing white around them while they dance then in the next scene, it’s just the four of them dancing. White represents goodness and beginnings. I think the guys wearing white represent the goodness of every thing in the world. There’s a new beginning to look forward to. Thus, at the very last scene, the girls were genuinely laughing and dancing even though the guys weren’t there anymore; they have reached the point of new beginning.
