The Danchee Ridgerock crawler from Redcat Racing is a great dirt cheap crawler. You should purchase the Redcat Gen 8 and the Danchee Ridgerock and have a dirt cheap crawler comparison.

Here in Australia, the TRX4 bronco is only $100 more than the RGT 😅
I still think the Axial line up is a little bit better bang for your buck(here in Aus anyway.), not far off the TRX4 when stock, but has pretty much the same after market upgrades available.
I'd still likely own both though. I own a 24th scale rgt and liked it. I'll get traxxas one day, lol.

If you move the battery tray to ontop of the transfer case in the RGT, it'll climb and side hill a lot better.

Oh wow I’m shocked the TRX4 driveline broke. The drive train is crazy strong. You must have put that thing through some serious abuse. RGT kit definitely held its own. Great comparison Kev!! 👊👊👍👍

You certainly can, mine was £109 and it’s great!
That spare wheel adds weight to the TRX4 at the rear which you don’t want. I moved mine to on the bonnet and much more stable and better
A 1:8 scale crawler will make it for sure on the down staires drive.
I think the trx4 is rear-heavy because of the spare tire on the back and that's why it was disadvantaged in the angle climbing

Think another comparison is the Banggood "work of art" Carbon and aluminium crawler you have v's the TRX-4.
That RGT is an impressive crawler for sure. Think on 2s it would be more controlled?

I can’t wait til I get the WPL C-24 going again (needs new motor, burnt brushes out) and go for a rip. Otherwise I want a good crawler so what dirt cheap one do you recommend Kev? 😀

Got another really good car from rgt, it's the rgt rock hammer, it's already a really great crawler for the price, but it looks like it might have alot more potential with a couple of upgrades. How about a review?

The RGT with a Hobbywing 1080 and a better radio with adjustable rates would hold it's own anywhere. The only issue might be repair parts, where do you get them?

Hi Kevin, iv recently bought 2 thunder tiger eb4 s2 pros and I'm now looking for something a bit more sedate and less bonkers! I'm looking at the electric rc rockcrawler buggies that are for sale on ebay for £19:99 and building an off road track in my back garden. Is it worth buying those cars on ebay or should I avoid is my question.....
