Bought your book, went through the first chapter. I think I did great, your teaching method is excellent! I now found your videos on youtube which are a great help! Thanks!
I got the 2 books _'Beginning With New Testament Greek_ earlier this month and _'Going Deeper with New Testament Greek.'_ Admittedly so, as I had already begun studying Modern Greek and learned the alphabet in under a day or so more or less, this definitely does take a bit of getting used to. It is funny being Scottish, indeed, we do roll our 'r', I would also say that given I am also studying Scottish Gaelic, the _'i'_ and _'e'_ are much the same as Modern Greek. I have become used to pronouncing the _υ, οι, η, ι_ as an _'ee'_ sound. Perhaps just the pronunciation I need to try and get used to as it is different. This version definitely sounds closer to English? Nonetheless, I look forward to learning more. I was a bit stumped, however, on the mention of _'the article of previous reference.'_ Perhaps I'm overthinking things a bit too early. I'll check the website also. This video has been helpful overall, thank you!
Can you answer why there are two subjects in this passage. Joseph and Jesus. thx [Mat 1:16] And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
anyone who can help...why do many of the transliteration 24:35 have a final h, when the final Greek vowel does not have a rough breathing mark? Thanks in advance.
These are brand new videos that go along with the new textbook. You can find all of these videos at dailydoseofgreek.com/learn/ as well as at beginninggreek.com
Daily Dose of Greek This is so helpful. Yes I noticed the difference after watching it. Thank you so much. I was watching many of your videos before the Greek class here in seminary and found them extremely helpful. Especially loved your singing “Amazing Greek.” God bless.
Again, I humbly ask Daily Dose of Greek why do you guys have pictures of Jesus when {Exodus 20}, and {Deuteronomy 4-5} prohibit them? Historically speaking, the idea of trying to depict God came in through Emperor Constantine and is therefore a pagan practice.
I will try to give an answer that works for me. The Triune God (Father Son and Holy Spirit) is completely "other" and is impossible to limit by description or representation. Yet HE can be known and his essential nature communicated through the who was Jesus had a physical appearance whilst he lived amongst us in body, though we do not know what he looked like as his image was not recorded. His image representations are meant to show that in human nature he was and is like us. So to the Chinese his representation is /should be Chinese, to Africans he should look African, to Indians he should look Indian, etc. However whilst comprehending the Godhead is impossible a smattering of Quantum Physics does show us the possibility of simultaneously holding two or more seemingly impossible pictures. Just don't make the mistake that of thinking we now understand.
I so appreciate the accompanying lectures to the book 🎉 thank you. I'm self studying this
How is it coming?

Please make a playlist of these videos!
Do you have a play list for each chapter of the book?
Delightful, I loved this video. And it moves me closer to buy the book.

It doesn't look like standard transliteration. He's adding extra English letters (not just a final h) to help you see the pronunciation.
Thank you ♥️ 🙏
Thank you. God bless you
I just bought the book 2 days ago. Thank you for the link. The other link (youtube wont allow me to post it) cannot be accessed 😢
Where can I find the lecture for chapter 2

Why do Greek letters look cooler compared to the letters in the English alphabet? :(
It occurred to me, after your mentioning of letter combinations sounding like “Star Wars”; that iota ( ι ) is pronounced as YODA!
😳

No pictures in the book that goes with this lesson.
It might help to learn some church history.
hey no one cares juan
