10/10 jet & 10/10 flight review. I have to finish my CZ Cub (inspired by yours) this winter but this jet will definitely be my next buy. You guys have really inspired me to try new things with this hobby!
My first plane was a jet, it flew close to this, and i was always in a bowl. I got reacquainted with tree climbing! And started taking a fiberglass pole saw, no blade, with me. Turns out e everybody needed a pole!!
I been watching your channel for a minute and I swear I have never seen you have as much fun with a small Jet as this one, that was fu*king AWESOME!!!! If I hadn't bought a Eratix Tuesday I would have gotten this! Hell I been good this year I think I am going to order one of these ASAP 🤣

Best review I have ever seen on this plane. Have you guys considered to make some videos on tutorials of aerobics? I have been flying for almost a year but I can only do some basic aerobics like 4-point roll, Cuba 8. It would be nice to learn from your video.
We've posted several videos of jet aerobatic tutorials - at least one or two on the F-22 90mm from Freewing, and one with the F-16 80mm from E-flite/FMS.
Nah. It's to point the canards down and never get locked again. No need to run heavier batteries and motors that'll produce more thrust but cause it to stall easier.
Granted that’s not the reason I upgraded it was just an observation I had after the fact. I did not like how much throttle was needed compare to my other 64mm planes. Saw others had success with a larger motor and went that route. I may give your idea but also try out the hv batteries you guys have been using as I am sure that makes a world of difference.
Another awesome video and I gotta agree. This EDF is just amazing! Jon, can you please share which mix did you do to make the elevator work without the Reflex unit? I’m using the same receiver and also telemetry and I’d like to be connected directly to the receiver without the Reflex Thanks!
Great video. There are so many good planes on the market now it is hard to decide what will be the next addition. Do you plan on reviewing any of the 50mm EDF's?
64mm is usually as small as we go. A 50mm jet would have to be exceptional for us to consider flying it unless one of the companies we work with wanted us to review one and sent it to us.
I missed the canadian sale on fms website for this model sadly so I have to wait for a restock next month but what is the biggest pack you can run in this jet? I have 2200 4s 3700 4s and 4200 4s lipo would I be able to use my 3700 in this jet or would that be too heavy keep in mind these are regular lipos no light weight smc packs or anything fancy
discord.gg/VQBt8UBUKy We'd recommend flying it as light as possible. 3000 is about as much as we'd suggest. Anything bigger may not fit into the model and would also make it fly very nose heavy.
Hey Jon I got a cheap cheap 50mm edf jet that is pretty sick I love it its a f22 bananahobby plane, I was wondering would you recommend this plane over the xfly t7a?? I want to do high alpha and the rafale seems great with it have you done a reveiw on the xfly t7a

Ive been getting notices that this jet is back in stock and when i go to their FMS site direct it says their sold out??? WTF So i found them for sale at $199 at Fair Rc a US distributor for FMS Planes

It really is. But we've got to start making our content more appealing. The format we're using right now isn't making a big enough impact. We'll experiment with it on Wednesday.
@@TwoBrosRC Yeah the thing is that where "circle flying" may be boring to some its fun for others mainly because that's all they may be able to handle. These aerobatic maneuvers are another level of advanced flying that other can't pull off so they may like to watch how the plane would fly "normally". Fantastic flying tho I do enjoy your videos! I'm trying to get better at doing some these maneuvers myself.
We're not ragging on circle flying pilots. We are ragging on "reviews" where people fly in circles and you, as a viewer, aren't given any useful info on a model's potential.

Hey John ive discovered that this jet has a single yellow wire lead coming off the esc and if you connect it to spare channel on your receiver it will allow motor thrust reverse to engage. th-cam.com/video/rxgINPTgfdA/w-d-xo.html
Yep, that's a stock feature of the 40 amp ESC. We got thrust reverse working a couple of weeks ago but haven't gotten around to shooting it yet. Thanks for letting everyone know, James!

The sabre is my fave 64mm jet. I've had them all too. Was tied of the Rafal getting into alpha lock

The answer to alpha lock is to upgrade it to 6s using the fan and motor upgrade for the freewing Banshee.

Just set it up as an elevon wing type in your Spektrum radio, and make sure the directions work as they should.

It's PNP, meaning you add your own receiver, battery, and your own transmitter.

Nope, we don't own that jet. We might get it though.
If they put retracts on it, it would be the perfect plane at this size.
But they'd be flimsy retracts that would add weight and make it fly poorly. Not sure it's worth the tradeoff.

We haven't flown anything from Banana or XFly, so we can't give you any specific advice here.

Do you run your telemetry leads to the balance connector?
No, the voltage wire is spliced directly into the ESC lead. Every time the model is powered, the voltage info is passed directly to the receiver.

Yep. Using an adapter introduces resistance. IC3 and EC3 both fit into XT60.
