Some call him a Rodeo Clown , Some call him a Bullfighter , others call him a Cowboy. I would have to say he is an ICON! An Inspiration for sure!

Thanks for the interview DB! Leon took me back 47 years ago to a 17 year old watching him and Mike Moore practice at the American Legion Rodeo Arena in Bastrop on Thursday nights…on Gary Townsends bulls.
Real treat to hear him and the wisdom that he has and shares. Hopefully this younger generation will listen and learn!

Leon Coffee! What a good, good guy! When my daughter was about five he came over to talk to her during the rodeo in Albuquerque and made her night. She thought that was the greatest thing ever and talked about it for days afterwards. Thank you Leon and God bless!
I’ve been a fan of Leon Coffee as far back as I can remember and had the privilege of being around him a few times. Great stories. I actually remember watching Leon bulldog a steer in Greeley wearing his full bullfighter outfit and had it counted he would have won the perf. Was also there the night Jeff Grigsby passed and will never forget that sad memory.

I got to meet Mr Leon at fort Madison Iowa years ago. He was clowning at the rodeo and he was amazing.
I saw Leon in action in the early 90s in Window Rock, Az.

Leon and others inspired me to get into bullfighting. Went to a Steve Mowry school in window rock Az. Won a buckle in a freestyle contest and got to fight a rodeo with Mowry. Where can I get a Leon coffee T-shirt?

We were watching the bull riding on the front row in Abilene and my 3 year old wasn't watching so Mr. Coffee snuck up behind him and scared him. Wish I would've recorded it.
Also Dale, I sent you a txt about possibly praying together for my mom with cancer if at all possible it would mean more to me than you would ever know. I know ur busy and I understand I'm sure u get a lot of requests like that but it would help me a lot. Thank u for everything you do either way!!
