  • Perhaps the Epiphone Hummingbird is the most recognisable acoustic guitar... and one of the most popular. Here is the new Performer Pro version of the guitar... sleeker and just a bit sexier.

    This is the guitar I have, that beautiful tobacco sunburst color to it. I find it much more appealing that the bright Yellow and orange

    Great guitar!
    I have the Epiphone Hummingbird ...... acoustic/electric ukulele of the same color and it is amazing.

    I kind of like it's sound and I love that sunburst. You play it quite well.

      Yes, Hummingbirds have their own sound. Thanks for the compliment.

    I bought one of these special addition, it’s a bright red and it has the controls for the pick up on the outside. It sounds fantastic. Have another fire sounds very similar to that one that you have bright very hollow sound. Compared to Gibson hummingbird I bought one hundredth anniversary, I was no comparison. Gibson hummingbird I bought secondhand for £1500 and the sound is amazing but it’s not designed to be played through an amplifier. At the sounds of it it’s just so that Free and Clair and once you pick it up, I don’t wanna put it down.

    Thanks, nice simple, no bs review. Just the kind of report I was looking for. I wonder why I keep seeing these reviews and not the version with the "Fishman Sonitone preamp and Sonicore pickup system"? Is this guitar a newer model and the Soniitone version being dumped right now because everyone is making room for the model you just reviewed?

    • @FlowforthInstruments
      @FlowforthInstruments  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is newer, yes, but I'm not sure if the Sonitone version is being dumped. It's been a while since I posted this and I haven't had another Hummingbird since.

    For as big a body as it has, I would've thought it would sound deeper. Not bad though. And that intro was awesome!

    So serious question I'm currently intermediate at best. I have a fender fa 120 box deal guitars for 200. Action sucks. Fingers hurt. I'm upgrading. But I don't wanna low ball upgrade. Basically I wanna move up to a good and maybe final guitar. Will one of these be a good choice. The contender to me is takamine gd30 or gn30. So I guess my question is which would you choose? Epi or takamine. I'm searching for easy to play smooth fret and good sound. I'm really in love with the epi appearance just don't wanna buy another copy of my fender in a new body lol

    • @FlowforthInstruments
      @FlowforthInstruments  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's case by case but I would go with the Tak or the Epi, if you can find a good one. There are lots of options in this price range - have a look at the Harley Benton acoustics on the Thomann website.

    Very good unbiased review. I'm not a fan of starburst finishes either but for what it is it would do better at the present price Of 400.00 with a hardcase. The masterbuilt DR 500 Ce is the better choice but higher priced. If a hard case was included I would buy. However, I'm actually inclined to get a Harley Benton 120 Ce and expect to do a little fine setup work and be half the price.

      All good choices. I love the Masterbilts but they are expensive. The HB acoustic I have is excellent for the price.

    where did you find that version without de preamp on the top?? i mean, it is hard to find the version with the preamp adjustments inside the hole.

      The one I bought today, had the controls in the sound hole. It's a real gem of a guitar!

    I the back a solid color or does it show the wood grain glossy.

    Is that the actual color of the pickguard or is it just the lighting. I though it was a dark red/maroon color

      There is a plug inside - sometimes that comes loose. Loosen the strings and check all the connections - and the battery.
