13:20 it’s never “up is down and down is up.” it always just rotates the controls. The easiest way to win that mini game is actually to rotate the Wii Remote until it lines up with the proper controls. It’s a “guess and check” method, but it actually works really well.

Remove the Wii remote strap from around your wrist if you have it on and rotate the Wii remote every time you reach a spinning platform so you can essentially not have the controls changed. The d-pad rotates in that game, it doesn't flip, so by rotating the remote, you can cheese it. I remember figuring out a way to cheese almost every minigame in Wii party when I was a kid (excluding the rng ones) because I played it so much. Same thing for mariokart wii and wii sports/resort. That was in like 2010, and to this day, my family won't play multiplayer games with me because they think I'm cheating. Well, technically I am, but they aren't supposed to know >:(
