I’m a hobby photographer and I’m loving watching you and your tutorials, your like the Bob Ross of photography with the way you swing through Lightroom and photoshop. Loving it, so very talented and makes me want to get out all the more. Keep it going buddy. 👍🏻
🥹 I always enjoy the Bob Ross references. I do hope I can be near the kind of person and artist that he was, but he's how I actually became a photographer ironically enough! Thank you kindly for your wonderful words. ❤️
No words for this. It looks so easy to do, but the results are astonishing. And sharing with the public all the details. A very big thank you! What I learned from this video (and also from some of your other videos) is that you have to take your time, be well prepared (right gear) and have a plan. Again: what a joy to watch! Thank you, thank you very much and the kindest regards from The Netherlands.
@@professorhineschoice Right with you there. Downtown LA in particular is just... not for me. Crazy light, though. I guess a couple million idling cars will do that for local atmosphere. Of course I say that just a few minutes before stepping on the 1 train to breath in who-knows-what ha. Nice to see some love for Sirui too. I've had the Traveler (carbon) for a while now and it's shockingly durable for weighing less than my cam. I've beat that little guy to hell and back!
Thank you so much! This is a new format I'm trying out and I'm delighted to hear the feedback. It others enjoy the POV and editing together then I'll retain this format for many of my upcoming videos 🥰
I don't know why I am just now finding out about you, but you're my new favorite photographer. Not only because of your style, but your attitude and philosophy regarding photography. Thank you for these videos! Would you mind sharing what tripod bracket you're using?
Thanks for another great video! Following you on Instagram for a while now, you really changed my way to look at street photography, especially on the being patient and waiting for your shot. Cheers from Portugal
Incredible work! I think you have me sold on a set of Loxia lenses. I will definitely be taking a Lightroom/Photoshop tutorial of yours. This is very inspiring! Great channel.
Recently I came upon this video and I can't seem to get away from your videos. I love your love for low angle, your love for getting it right on the fry and your way of staying away from cropping and not caring much about vignetting. I do not like post-deliberately
Good question! No, I've never used a grip for any of my mirrorless cameras. I like the smaller form factor and the Alpha 1 is already larger than what I like (The Alpha 9 is far smaller and lighter and love the body of that camera - Alpha 1 not as much, but I deal with it). Since I have 2 Alpha 1's they would take up a lot of space in my bag and not fit as well either.
That's actually a ballhead by Colorado Tripod Company. Mine is the quick release version, but I will say good luck trying to find one! I was given this one by the company, but I wanted to buy one to have 2 and I've not been able to find this exact one for over a year! 😩 It's ssssoooo good though!
@@Nikica358 I never make mention of it in any videos, since it's not possible for anyone to buy this exact version I'm using. I'm hoping one day it is available again.
You can find all of my gear here: www.professorhines.com/gear As for the ballhead it's one that's not available, but it's from Colorado Tripod Company.
Been following you since "street photography guide" from Jason's channel. I'm new at photography and I started 3 months ago using my Xperia 1 II. I learned a lot from both of you! Godbless Prof and thank you for your uploads!
With respect, just for the record: 19:10 it has nothing to do with your Macbook; if you own a computer that can run LrC, then you can do all this stuff. But anyway, I love what you do and as a philosopher/literary critic/theorist I'd love to talk to you about photographic philosophy some day. You saved me lots of angst resuscitating my travel photography and helped me remember that there is indeed a philosophy of photography to be developed...keep up the great work!
Never did I say you couldn’t use Lightroom Classic on any other computer. This was specifically about speed. Lightroom does run faster and smoother on the Mac’s with Apple silicon and does so with lower power.
I never give out locations, as finding them is part of being a photographer... but I do give hints! The hint is that the answer is 100% in the video and I can't believe you don't notice it 😁 Like very clear, too!
Jason is a terrible influence to so many! I will say the one positive for you is that you spent less money than I did. I still can't believe I own a Mac! That alone still astounds me! 😩
Hey professor, I am big fan form India. I am starting to learn photography travel & street. I have just bought Sony alpha 7 III. Can you please suggest one lens which I should buy at this moment?
That's going to be something you have to decide for yourself, as to what to buy. I only list most of the offerings for Sony & ZEISS lenses only on my website (www.professorhines.com), but there are numerous lenses available for the Sony E-Mount system. Since I'm not a general online reviewer of projects you won't find those other brands, but searching online will bring up results for other brands as well! 😊 I have genre specific lens recommendations you can find here, which could be helpful also: www.professorhines.com/blog
@@professorhineschoice hey, thanks for the suggestion. went through all your reviews. I am still confused between batis 25mm, 40mm & loxia 35mm. throw some light professor. Since it is going to be my first lens, I want this buy to be worth it

For a first lens that you'd use for street and travel then the 25 or 40 would probably be the two I'd say concentrate on.

Professor, if I may, the phrase is “now you’re cooking with gas.”
