Thanks for this video. My son's hockey team wanted me to mic them up, but the DJI price was a hard price to pay if they break. The Kimafun I think will work perfect incase it breaks. The question I had is if you mic up 2 people at the same time. Can I split the audio later when I am making the film or should I only mic up 1 person?

    • @BeyondTheGame_E

Do you know, are there any recorders that don’t transmit at all, but can still be setup with a lav inside the player’s uniform? I know I may be introducing other problems, especially in post, but just curious if transmitting is something you consider a necessity? Either way, thanks so much for these videos! Unrelated question. What’s your thought in filming sports with cinema zoom lenses ? Besides the price . I hear many pro shooters use cinema glass for sports

    • @BeyondTheGame_E

Cinema glass is better for any type of filming. Sport is no different. But if you’re content is just for social media and scoreboards. it’s a lot of money for something that will be very hard to notice on those platforms.

Love all your videos but a quick question. Whilst using action 4 with dji wireless mics how do i get good audio when talking to people on the fly , like if im vlogging in cities and chatting to waiters or shop workers. If i wear my wireless then I'll only get me right? and if i use the onboard mic i may get too much background noise. Any suggestions? Or should i instead of wearing my mic just stick it to the side my action 4 or on the selfie stick.😂 thanks so much. Its driving me crazy

    • @BeyondTheGame_E

Yes, a lapel mic will mainly get the person it's attached too. Everything else will sound very far away. If you want other people to sound as good as you, you'll have to mic them up as well or at least point a microphone in there direction from as close to them as possible.

I have a question, most of your videos like these for mics regarding sports, you always demonstrate how far the receiver can pick up your audio based on how far you move, but what if you are wanting to get a mic to record just the sports action and crowd noise and player noise while they are in the game or on the sidelines? is it better to use one of these wireless mics or a shotgun mic or even a stereo mic?

Good morning, thanks for your videos. I have a query, I am broadcasting live rugby matches and I place a DJI MIC wireless microphone on the referee but I cannot get an interference-free sound. When the referee is away and facing away from the receiver, the sound comes through with noises. Do you know of any wireless mic model, similar to the DJI, that works well for rugby referees?
    Thanks

    • @BeyondTheGame_E

I don’t really have a specific model to recommend but to avoid any risk of interference you would have to spend a lot more money on a professional wireless lav microphone kit. Tascam is the brand I see the most at the professional level. But don’t just buy their cheapest model as you’ll probably have the same result.
