Woman fatally struck by suspected DUI driver in Anaheim

A woman who went for a walk in Orange County and never returned home was found dead after she apparently was fatally struck by a DUI driver, police say.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, officers responded to the area of Wagner Avenue and Rio Vista Street on Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. and discovered the scene of a single-vehicle crash. “Officers searched the greenbelt with the assistance of an Anaheim Police Air Support helicopter,” police said. “Tragically, they located a female who was deceased in the dense brush near the traffic collision.”

@djemcee generally, it’s because our country is designed to be car dependent and some roads are badly designed, so they encourage speeding. If we could add relatively cheap and reliable ways to get around like walking, public transportation, and biking you could minimize the opportunities for such senseless deaths.

That is really sad. I biked that path once couple years ago, and I would never think for moment walking there would get you killed. As you can see, it has fence and tree, but tI guess It's hard to stop a car going that fast. So sorry for the family!
