Couple of edits cos I was a bit pissed when I recorded this - Expression pedal (not switch)🤦 Digitech Whammy, not Ibanez (obviously, sorry) Matt Bellamy (obviously)
Brilliant Paul thanks for the comment. The Katana's are astounding but my Blues Junior gets jealous whenever I even look at another amp 😂 Although I have been known to use the awesome amps sims when streaming or DI to PA in emergencies. Very handy to have.
Love the GT-1. I only wish it had the slicer effect. That's the only thing I miss. I've been to professional gigs where they've used GT-1s. One gig I went to, they guitar player had a GT-1 with a MIDI controller, all attached to a pedalboard and clingfilmed to protect against beer spillage. Legend!
Some folks might not know, but the Gt1 is the portable version of the GT100.. I find the GT1 the perfect design in terms of multi effect .. It is rugged, has plenty of patches, has a small footprint and a pedal.. We don't need anything else..It has to be the best bang for the buck I ever did as far as gear..Johnny Marr did a promo back then for the Gt100 saying how good the drives and amp emulation were.. As I wrote earlier the Gt1 uses the same exact technology btw.. th-cam.com/video/NFbo58jcyi8/w-d-xo.html
What I have noticed in my various interests is that the majority of people value equipment, not skills. Skill is what gets the job done. You can't buy skill. Also, most people in guitar are talkers or collectors, not players, that are hobbyists, that is. Professionals of course play.
Don't cave to digital unless you have to man! You're a pioneer of valve and analog and you don't like digital so don't bother. Saying that I'd love to see you demo the new Boss amp sim stompbox?

Love it. I have a Katana MK2 for when I need an amp and a GT1 for if I'm going into a PA, and it's fab. Great video

Fuck sake, the cling film idea woulda saved me hundreds of £££s. I'm on my 4th GT1 cos of dicks spilling pints

My GF nearly made me delete. But she's an idiot.

And you sound like someone who just wants to get the job done in the least stressful way possible. Love it 🎉
Quality rant. I may have to get a GT-1 now....😂

@@garyjohnstonemusic You never know....I might.
I could never justify buying a gt-100 having a gt-1. Are all your light switches like that or is that one special?
I like it cos it looks like me 😁
