Hi Herman, There was a presentation by ReconAfrica yesterday here at Africa Oil Week in Cape Town (07 Oct 2022) on the Namibia onshore operations. The 8-2 well has been operating at TD for some time (i.e. over a month - ref: press release 30 Aug 22) and no significant update on what the well found was forthcoming yesterday. Have they shown wireline/LWD/any logs from well 8-2? Or 6-2, or 6-1 for that matter? Hundreds of feet of shows reported in the previous two wells, but isn't it about time they showed some data to verify/judge the claims for all 3 wells? There are "shows" and there are "shows" - some are good, some are not exactly significant. A look at the electric logs and mud logs etc should convince a competent petrophysicist. Is there pressure gradient data? Do we have an extensive hydrocarbon column - or not? Is there a flow test with hydrocarbons-to-surface - (don't recall seeing anything....). As the presentation format here at AOW did not allow time for questions, we remain in the dark. No sooner was the well operations mentioned yesterday than RA were off talking about future plans, follow-up wells, pipelines, exporting oil to world markets using Afromax tankers, blah, blah, blah. Smoke and mirrors?? Carry on investing, all is well?!?. But AOW is a technical forum, with lots of "competent persons” in attendance. Why not show the confirmatory data? Were I a shareholder - and for the record I am not, nor ever have been - I would be asking to see technical evidence of the "success" RA are reporting. They should have nothing to hide - it reads like great success from their various press releases & prior corporate presentations. It's not like this is commercial-in-confidence, hugely competitive acreage or anything. The longer there is no technical presentation of the results, the more a strange whiff begins to emanate..... We do know state-owned NAMCOR will go from a 10% carried interest (i.e. they weren't paying costs for the drilling of any of the three wells) to a 5% carried interest (press release 22 Sep 2022). A deal set up a long time ago, in return for shares/warrants in RA, it seems. Is that an endorsement by a Joint Venture partner that results are going well??? We completely understand majors withholding commercially sensitive data for offshore discoveries with rumoured $100mm farm-in deals ongoing. But the Kavango Basin?!? Really?! RA should disclose technical data and thus reassure investors - it's relatively quick, easy and straightforward. BTW, always happy to see serious debate, reasoned comments & technical assessments in response. Heads-up, trolls will have their posts deleted. Any comments? Messrs Andersen & Evans??? Alvarez & Marsal ('onboard' since April 20, 2022)?? Hannam & Partners ('onboard' since July 11, 2022)?? We'd love to see/do an independent assessment of the various well results!
@@TROVE-1stSubsurface Yikes...Not sure if I should have mentioned the name Recon Africa. The overall feel of the reply makes it seem like a scam or fraud. I said the word invested but it's actually speculation money for me. But I would hate to lose that money just saying if this is a scam. So is that what you think that it's just a well-polished story, with well-known experts, and well-known company names involved. So, what you're thinking maybe is that the true bad news is in all the data not yet shared with us thus far? I really hope not? You seem far mor knowledgeable than me. What's your total feel of the company?
Graaf-2 became known as La Rona-1 and was a light oil discovery. We believe it also appraised Graff. Very little comment out there but we will report in next video update. As ever, watch this space.
Hi Tatenda. Regular press releases from the operator Invictus Energy. We have done 3 videos on our channel. Expect a fourth and ?final video once the dust has settled. But who knows what the future holds......
@@tatendanyakubaya6597 Hi Tatenda. We generally do news reviews rather than just news. I am sure Invictus will put out a well release once they have analysed the various logging results. They will then have the decision to suspend the well for future operations of plug and abandon the well. We probably won't have a follow up video until the dust has settled. Hope you understand - we will watch out for Baobab, the second well in the programme.
You would get more views if you put the company names you are covering in the title. I was looking through your invictus update and stumbled on this going through your videos. Thanks for the content :)
Thanks for your comments Theodore. We aren't aiming our content at investors in ongoing operations, but more oil & gas professionals who are interested in the technical assessments. Our videos on "how oilfields work" and regional reviews are primarily meant to be educational. Hope to see you back on our channel.
Hi Ron, We cover all offshore basins in Australia and their adding coastal areas. We don't currently cover the basins you mention. If there is a great story that is worthy of telling in those parts, we might put a video together if there is global appeal.
@@TROVE-1stSubsurface thank you for your reply. Just recently came across your TH-cam channel which is awesome, and just recently was made aware of Tamboran resources acquisition of Orgins stake in the Beetaloo basin. Again thank you for your reply and TH-cam channel.
Keeping a close eye on Recon Africa. Invested in them. SUBSCRIBED.

Africa Oil. You’re welcome
Hi Paul, hope you and Africa Oil enjoyed the video. Let us know if there is morevto add. Best wishes, TROVE.
I’ve got 150k Eco Atlantic shares, I’m excited what discoveries are made in block 3B/4B 💰💰💰
Nice one Simon. Hope all works out for you. We don't make share predictions, staying technical on the subsurface.
