OMG!! There were two that you guys passed up, that I was trying to jump through the screen and grab myself lol. You passed by a Belle in a yellow gem heart at the spot he said he messed up the second time. And the other was the Aristocats Thomas O'malley and Duchess, later in the video. I would've traded for those in a heartbeat lol

I collect certain series of pins which makes it harder to complete. However,that being said, a lot of times I have been surprised when a cast member either has an idea where to go or had some hidden that they can bring out to help you complete the set! That’s why the cast members are so awesome! Thanks

Before the confectionery renovation they used to have a pin board but the used an oven mitt instead of a board . Was cool.👍
That's awesome! There are a few places where they used to have a really fun board [tombstone or sword] but they seemed to have moved away from that recently, which is sad.
My best pin trading location BY FAR was hilton head. 2-3 nice real pins on each board and the cast members had hidden disney pins to trade too!
Didnt have much luck at WDW. I was letting my 7 yo trade and everytime someone put a nice pin on the board someone would reach over him and grab it. Vultures!
I'll have to keep that in mind if we're ever out that way and be sure to bring pins, 'cause I'll be honest with you. . . . it would never have occurred to me to pin trade at Hilton Head. 😅
It's always so hit or miss at WDW. We have a lot of fun trading regardless, but it's RARELY something we do with any goal in mind. I'll tell you what though, I do NOT like the way people conduct themselves when pin trading. . . . especially around kids. I see some things and I'm like: 😤 You'd never do that to an adult, be respectful of the kids too!
I hate that so many people leave fake pins on most of the pin boards. We buy pins on clearance from the Disney outlets and put them on the boards so there are some good ones for people to choose from. We have the best luck trading with real people in the parks and also pin traders at Disney Springs.
Yes! Especially when it's seasoned pin traders too. I can't tell you how many times I've been in line waiting to pin trade and I've seen people pull out their bag of fakes and pick a board clean. . . even when you're supposed to limit your trades to 2. [Yeah, I'm a little salty about that.] We do the same thing. We get all of out "tradeables" from the outlets or discounted from shopDisney. Of course, there are all the multiples that we trade out as well [**cough** figment EPCOT 40 blind boxes **cough**] to get some interesting and fun stuff on the boards for others to trade for as well. Russ always wants to check Pin Traders at Disney Springs, but we don't get over there as often as we should. . . . might have to make our way over there and see what they've got!
Yes..I always trade real/great pins..hate it when someone trades junk for a nice new pin on the board🤬

When we're really going hard, we can get up there in the step count too! [Especially when we're counting on Russ for directions. lol] We cut things short on this pin-trading-stravaganza though 'cause we ran out of pins to trade. Oh well!

FWIW last week we hopped from MK to AK and waited nearly an hour for bus, about 30 minutes in I realized we should have just went to a resort then to AK, but by then it was too late
Thank you for sharing your experience! That sounds about right, at least compared to what we've experienced in the past. To say we lucked out by catching the bus at Animal Kingdom is probably the understatement of the week!

Wouldn’t have been more efficient to start at animal kingdom since they open earlier then do magic kingdom/TTC, then Epcot since it’s connected by the monorail and then take the sky train to Hollywood?
It all depends on what you want to do with your day. On this day, we started at MK for the parking and 'cause we wanted to ride TRON. . . . so that was a major consideration.
Great video. Such a shame you traded so many authentic pins for mostly fake. If it’s on the board and it’s a really old pin you have a 1000 to 1 chance of it being authentic.Its better to stick to the very new sets as you have less chance of ending up with fake.
Glad you enjoyed the video. We trade for fun. Is it hit or miss? Sure! Are there fakes out there? Definitely! If we were THAT worried about it we wouldn't trade and certainly not for pins that were in our actual collection. These are all extras that we have for the sake of trading and we're good with that.
