Honestly, I was thinking to myself every week, how in the HELL does she get these out every week. They’re so well done! Take however long you need to get reviews out in 2025. You deserve it. Congrats on all the success this year!!
All the best for this year Abby and if you think it’s time to end the you tube channel so be it. You don’t owe us anything. You have given us some fantastic work this past couple of years. And it’s been really nice to see you on your journey every week. But you have so much ahead of you. And a full and amazing life to live. So don’t feel obligated to push yourself work wise. Knowing how talented you are there a dozen different roads you can take right now. And I am looking forward to seeing what you decide to do next. In the meantime don’t burn yourself out doing this. Go see your favourite band , see your boyfriend! Have fun 😊! But thanks once again for giving me at least a look at albums I would never have considered. And have a happy and successful 2025 👍😃
Tim Buckley left us 50 years ago in June, so would love a VM on Goodbye & Hello (which I believe you have), Happy Sad, Starsailor (though my fave is Blue Afternoon). Main thing is, don't burn yourself out. Sounds eminently sensible to give yourself some weeks off. As a Brit, always amazed at the US culture of barely any time off!
Could you do the story of the Beach Boys AFTER Pet Sounds? I think albums such as Friends, 20/20, Surfs Up, Sunflower are seriously underappreciated. Happy New Year!
Your channel has inspired me a lot with my own writing and has even gotten me to continue vinyl collecting! Thank you for giving us a wonderful year of content, can't wait for 2025!
Ringo has a TH-cam channel, maybe he'll let you interview him, worst that can happen is he'll say no, but at least he'll say it with peace and love....
Don’t worry about getting better because you’re doing great as it is. Part of being an artist is trusting that you’re good enough and that you will grow in the right way. Looking forward to another great year!
the eventual Vinyl Monday episode on A Hard Day's Night is going to fix me. potentially the most underrated album in the Beatles discography, that or With The Beatles. I would go to war for both of them
Hey Abby, Yours is one of my favourite TH-cam channels and it always makes my day when you post a new video. They are always so well-crafted and your enthusiasm is uplifting. You must have worked so hard at your channel this past year. I bought Heavy Lifting on the strength of your review and I love it. Looking forward to your Rush takedown and I would personally love to see your video on The Pretty Things, one of the most under-rated '60s bands. Not to mention Radiohead and I would personally love to see your review of Reign In Blood by Slayer, but that's just me. I hope your channel grows and thrives in 2025.
Thank you for being you, you have literally spoiled us and I know it must be overwhelming with all the new people here (I've been here since the channel was small the growth has been crazy) but I promise things will get easier, you have nothing to prove and we're happy with whatever you post in whatever shape it takes (take as much time off as you need tbh). Me and my friends have been posting clips from your videos as reacts like the GTO's WATCH OUT one and the "if you don't at the very least shimmy your shoulders somethings wrong with you" and who could forget "why are British musicians so incestuous its weird" sdcbjksd, you're an icon in our circles! Your the coolest! (the Leslie West moment was the most adorable thing, the smiling and looking down ahhhhh)
Your Eat A Peach review was honestly my favorite one you’ve done so far. It was honest, informative, and really shined a light on the Allman Brothers Band. I knew of them, but hadn’t really listened to them. They’re amazing! After Eat A Peach and Live at Fillmore East, I’ve got to thank you for exposing me to them and so many other artists I needed to listen to. I’m excited to see what’s to come in 2025. And don’t worry about the tears- it was a moment of authenticity and candor that was appreciated on this side of the screen.
Thank you for your channel. It’s turned me on to old albums (and some new ones, most notably The Mellons, thank you) that I hadn’t ever heard before. Best of luck on your short break!
Happy New Year, Abigail. Thank you for another year of excellent videos. I find as I get older, conservation of mental energy comes more and more a daily living issue. I just saw Stereophonic on Broadway (a/k/a 2024's Tony Award Winner of Best Play). I've wanted to see it since it was at Playwright's Horizon (it was already being sold out by then) and had not had chance to (again, mental energy consumed elsewhere) during the majority of its Broadway run. I really enjoyed the show and would highly recommend getting a chance to see the play (it has got only 3 more weeks on Broadway but I can't see it not being performed elsewhere) performed live (and the actors play the music lived). The story is absolutely a Rumours roman à clef, but one well-done.
Abigail, your creativity on this channel brings new life to old or forgotten music and bands from the past that most younger generations wouldn't have a chance at being heard and listened to again. The way you come up with colorful commentary is great! If you're feeling pressure from something you love and is draining your creative side, don't let it bring you down. You've done many vinyl Mondays, even if you cut back to vinyl monthly reviews it would still give a great amount of your colorful commentary. Anyway I'm rambling, I hope you and everyone has a great new year! 😊 btw, I 😢when you did, that's how we know you're authentic ❤
Congrats on 2024's rise and a very happy New Year to you and all fellow vinyl fans! 🎉🎧 My first self-purchase was the art deco-y eponymous The B-52s album. Bought it cuz a girl I liked liked the songs (so did I). Lent it to her and never got it back. No regrets. I still smile thinking about that physical piece of media. Your channel reminds me not only of the musicians who scored my life's history, but of those precious vinyl grooves, capturing our most marvelous, universally-touching sounds, which remind us who we were, who we are, and who we can be.
Can not wait to see you cover Rush! Found your channel this year, and love how you really research things, and the artistry in your presentation is fun to watch. You can tell you are really working hard, and have pride in what you do. Hope the change of pace helps with you mentally, physically, and spiritually. Can’t wait see more in 2025, happy new year!
What a wild year The MC5 made the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Cardiacs got back together Kendrick defeated Drake Brat summer The Cure returned I started a vinyl series of my own (thanks to you) And of course, you hit 50k subs... You've knocked it out of the park this year with your work, Abby. We're all so proud of you, and you should be proud, as well. Thanks for everything this year, and as always, KOTJMF! ❤❤❤
Good call on accepting you need to slow down and actually doing it. I’ve followed plenty of content creators who got ground to a nub by trying to keep up an unsustainable posting schedule and eventually just stopped altogether. No matter what some guy says on the internet, you don’t owe your audience constant entertainment.
If you really want to play music, don’t let lack of musical talent stop you. Most of us don’t have natural talent, we just practice. Love the channel, and looking forward to 2025.
Abigail. I think the important thing is that you `Enjoy` what you are doing and don`t overwork yourself. Just as long as you are happy doing what you, do, then we, you're subscribers & fans will be happy too! All the best for 2025. 👍👍😊😊
Anything from Minnesota 😅😅 The twin cities indie rock scene was very influential on grunge and college rock (see records like Tim by The Replacements, Zen Arcade by Husker Du, In Combo by The Suburbs) also, PRINCE! I feel like we get overlooked a lot even though our music scene has been influential. As a musician from MSP, our music is great too!!
Congrats on almost being at 50k! I love this channel! I love the content of this channel, although I tend to listen to different stuff then you review, I always love your reviews, and sometimes it gets me to push myself out of the box I get stuck into, hope to see more content! Also wooo!!! Hope to see yardbirds reviews, the yardbirds is one of my favorite bands because I love Keith Relf
Love your show. I'm an old musician who found you through the Lemon Twigs. I play in an Allmans tribute band. You are in my top 3 channels of the year. You are awesome! (I bet your parents are proud)
Hi Abby! I am absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed Laura Marling's "Patterns in Repeat". I am a big fan of Laura and mention her often in the comments. Thanks for the great reviews and all the best for the New Year!
The Basement Tapes, 200 Motels, Desolation Blvd., The Last Waltz, The Ruts - The Crack, Back in Black, Honky Cat, Diamond Dogs, The Feeding of the 500, Sugar Hill Gang, Blondie Parallel to Rapture, Paul's Boutique, Straight Outta Compton/Easy E/DOC Nobody Does It Better, What's Going On?, Soul'd Out (WattsStax), Second Helping, Tapestry, Dear Mr. Fantasy, Band On the Run, Tubeway Army/Gary Numan, The Tubes, Saturday Night Fever, Abba, Bauhaus - Mask.
I've been watching this channel since the Sgt Pepper review, and in the time since, this has become my favorite channel on TH-cam. Seeing how much it's evolved this year alone has been incredible. I'm so excited to see the next chapter of Vinyl Monday in what ever forms it will take (and if that Pretty Things episode does happen I think I will cry)
hey Abi, I don't know if Prince is quite your style but I'm a huge fan of him, he was a total genius on an absolutely mind boggling scale and I'm always feeling sad that his legacy might be dying or isn't being celebrated like I and many of his other fans know he deserves. Everyone is going to recommend you do Purple Rain, 1999 or Sign 'O' The Times, and for good reason they're all amazing albums, but I personally think that if you want to do Prince properly, doing a proper video on his 1996 album, Emancipation, would go the furthest to truely keeping his legacy alive and might actually get people to understand what a true genius he was and how dense and important everything he did was as well. Emancipation is intended for CD and it's 3 hours long so that might make it a bit weird. I just want Prince to get more recognition from current day audiences and I think it's a great shame he hasn't gotten it.
Very impressed you like the King Crimson 'Red' album so much. Everything King Cimson improves with repeat listening. Although not on the album, the associated 14 minute track "A Voyage To The Center of the Cosmos" is a must-listen. You can find it on TH-cam easy enough. The last 2 minutes, or so, of this live improvised track is totally John Wetton in bass beast mode.
Happy new year abbey can't wait to see what you have in store for 2025 but that is a good idea to slow down and take some time off all us vinyl Monday junkies only want the best for you again happy new year be good and do what you think is right love ya
Congrats on all of your success, Abby!!!!! I wish you so much more in 2025. You have to do what works for you. Never be afraid to show any emotion on here. We are Audiophiles and we feel stuffs deeply.
Ok, I'm finally going to check out the Dolls podcast. I've been meaning to get round to it but the Losing My Opinion back catalogue has been getting in the way - I'm afraid that's your fault too Abs. Now I hear you've done a Dolls episode on Nico, I am even more incentivised, if for no other reason than I want to hear you talk about John Cooper Clarke, however briefly. Deffo summat I need. Cheers Abi and have a Happy New Year.
Well done on a solid and interesting year of work Abby 😊. It’s a treat to see how you are growing in your ability to make this reviews. One day rolling stone will wake up to themselves and give you a job as a rock journalist. 😊
3 weeks on, 1 week off is more than reasonable! Honestly I was sometimes baffled how you kept pumping out these huge album reviews week after week without missing a beat (that rhymes). Also thank you for covering Genesis this year!
Love your channel! Do whatever you need to do to manage the workload and keep up the quality of your videos! It would be great if you found a way to do a radio show! 😸
easiest thing in the world to click like on this channel, easy choice to subscribe, easy decision to watch every episode. easy for us to give accede to your needs for next year because we bloody love vinyl monday and you've never asked us for anything. you are a person who deserves all the success and happiness that will surely come your way.
Abby, Your VM got me to listen to one album a day this year. It also pushed me off the fence on a couple acts, like Donovan. I myself post mini reviews and thoughts on Zuckbook and it's been entertaining to my friends. Our music tastes Venn diagram isn't a circle, but I can say the area we do overlap is fuller from watching your material. Thank you and keep being you.
We're not getting weekly Vinyl Monday's anymore? Finally! I was wondering when she'd go mad from this insane schedule. I'd evaporate into dust in the wind after 3 weeks tops of that amount of work. Take as much time as you and your work needs :)
I've really enjoyed your album reviews in 2024. Looking forward to what you have on tap for 2025. I don't know if you are a Prince fan but it would be cool to see you tackle something from His Royal Badness. Happy New Year Abby!!!
Your red review literally made me stop in my tracks to watch it. Red is my favorite album of all time and starless is my favorite song. The album literally makes my jaw drop after every listen and im so glad you like it as much as you do! Heres hoping larks tounges or discipline will come!
I'm sure you get way more recommendations than you can absorb but knowing your thoughts on Cream and now hearing how much you like Mountain, I would like to strongly suggest a record by the Devil's Anvil called "Hard Rock from the Middle East" . If you read a brief summary and check out a song or two I think that will get your full attention
Ive been watching ever since the wall review appeared in my recommended and since then this channel has only gotten better and better! Vinyl Monday has always been a series that i know is coming and i could look forward too and it really makes me happy! I cant wait for 2025 and i hope rush and can will finally enter the VMCU! I will definitely lose my mind is television gets their episode!
Galaxie 500 yes!! Seeing Dean Wareham playing Galaxie 500 this year in Glasgow as I always although partly I wish he was bringing Luna. Anyway I’ll look forward to that video!
Keep checking out more Zappa Albums in any order you like! It's very healthy for the Vinyl Monday Saga! Some Krautrock Bands as Can, Amon Duul or Agitation Free could be useful as well! Keep on talking of this kind of Music!
This quote from the new Prog magazine explains it much better than I could, so here it is: The Turkish-American electronic music composer Ilhan Mimaroglu once said, "Music is the cinematographic concept. A type of cinema that is observed by the ear." That description easily applies to the remarkable body of music Yes generated from the early 70s onwards. The Yes Album, Fragile and Close to the Edge honed and refined a compositional style that created pictures in the mind, enhanced as they were by high-value productions. But if these albums exemplified a keenness to explore the cinematic approach, in the scale of ambition Tales from Topographic Oceans was something akin to an aural IMAX screening. -- Sid Smith, Prog magazine's 50th anniversary tribute to Yes' Relayer.
3 weeks on , 1 week off is good, you need time to research edit chill out recharge. Week you're off, just pick a blast from the past, call it best of vinyl Monday. See you feb 13. Can't wait...
Yellow Submarine at the beginning makes me think. If you can locate one of her albums, there was a grandma who performed (that might be giving undue credit) rock and pop songs and became a huge but short-lived novelty under the name Mrs. Miller. Her version of Yellow Submarine is absolutely HILARIOUS. You’ll wonder why the hell (and HOW the hell) she managed to get a recording contract, even as a pure novelty.
@@jkhoman Someone Merv Griffin called Mrs Miller was often in his studio audience, but I was never really sure if it was the same Mrs Miller. Much like Portland had a guy who claimed to be Col Sanders and showed up on local TV but we were never really certain about him either. Later it turned out he was just a look-alike.
You should definitely do more film and album review episode. Now I'm not saying you have to cover The Last Waltz. I'm just saying it would make my heart sing! 😊 And my heart will for sure sing "Up On Cripple Creek" for that occasion. 😄 By the way, did you say you want to interview Pamela Des Barres? Well, Michael Des Barres, her ex, follows me on . . . X. What a coincidence. I know they're still friends, so if you want, I can share this video over there. Maybe he'll see it and help you out. Anyway, Happy New Year! 🤗
what do you want to see on vinyl monday in 2025? comment below!
The Berlin trilogy and a Ziggy redux
The Modern Lovers :)
Whatever you wanna talk about!
Perchance frankie valli and the four seasons
I would love to see a Talking Heads episode!
Honestly, I was thinking to myself every week, how in the HELL does she get these out every week. They’re so well done! Take however long you need to get reviews out in 2025. You deserve it. Congrats on all the success this year!!

I sent Blue Afternoon and Tape from California. An amazing singer and composer. A June review would be great, maybe Tim and Jeff together?
Could you do the story of the Beach Boys AFTER Pet Sounds? I think albums such as Friends, 20/20, Surfs Up, Sunflower are seriously underappreciated. Happy New Year!
surfs up vinyl monday would be great!
Happy New Year's, Abbie, thanks for all your hard work, it means more than I could express.
Don’t worry about getting better because you’re doing great as it is. Part of being an artist is trusting that you’re good enough and that you will grow in the right way. Looking forward to another great year!
Coming up on my third year as a Vinyl Monday viewer and watching this show evolve has been such a treat. Can’t wait for the Trout Mask episode (:
the eventual Vinyl Monday episode on A Hard Day's Night is going to fix me. potentially the most underrated album in the Beatles discography, that or With The Beatles. I would go to war for both of them
Just started downloading your podcast 👌🏻 I'm looking forward to the coming year's entertainment (and past episodes 😊) 👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you Abby for 2024. I cannot wait to see what 2025 brings. Happy New Year
Hey Abby,
Yours is one of my favourite TH-cam channels and it always makes my day when you post a new video.
Thank you Abby for a year filled with great music. It wasn't the best year for me personally, but Vinyl Monday was always a highlight of my week
Sister Rosetta Tharpe's "Gospel Train" could be neat to see covered!
Congrats on a great year!
I'm excited for what you do this year. Love the show! You're fantastic! -Blacklight Bob

It’s turned me on to old albums (and some new ones, most notably The Mellons, thank you)
that I hadn’t ever heard before.
Best of luck on your short break!
Yes to covering Galaxie 500! Also, would love to see you feature my favorite female artist Linda Ronstadt in the new year. Keep up the great work.
Happy New Year, Abigail. Thank you for another year of excellent videos. I find as I get older, conservation of mental energy comes more and more a daily living issue.

A Cure episode in 2025 would feed families
So no Trout Mask Replica in 2025?
When I look back, I realize that Vinyl Monday is basically the mold for my music taste. I’ve discovered a lot of albums from watching!
Congrats on 2024's rise and a very happy New Year to you and all fellow vinyl fans! 🎉🎧
My first self-purchase was the art deco-y eponymous The B-52s album.
Bought it cuz a girl I liked liked the songs (so did I).
Lent it to her and never got it back.
No regrets. I still smile thinking about that physical piece of media.

What a wild year
The MC5 made the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Cardiacs got back together
Kendrick defeated Drake
Brat summer
The Cure returned
I started a vinyl series of my own (thanks to you)
And of course, you hit 50k subs...
You've knocked it out of the park this year with your work, Abby. We're all so proud of you, and you should be proud, as well. Thanks for everything this year, and as always, KOTJMF! ❤❤❤

Another who related film worth a watch is 'quadrophenia'
On the pete girly part... You do know he's on a certain register over here in the UK 😮
The video reviews have been spectacular. Your research is among the best on TH-cam. Can’t wait for the upcoming year of great video.
How about reviewing "Kill City" - Iggy and the Stooges release on Bomp records. Or their live album -Metallic KO?

Love your show. I'm an old musician who found you through the Lemon Twigs. I play in an Allmans tribute band. You are in my top 3 channels of the year. You are awesome! (I bet your parents are proud)
Happy New Year Abby... your channel is truly inspiring to me ..
Hi Abby! I am absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed Laura Marling's "Patterns in Repeat". I am a big fan of Laura and mention her often in the comments.
Thanks for the great reviews and all the best for the New Year!
Keep kicking out the jams 😊 for 2025. Your thoughts on some early Alice Cooper, Killer, Schools Out, maybe.

Well done on a solid and interesting year of work Abby 😊. It’s a treat to see how you are growing in your ability to make this reviews. One day rolling stone will wake up to themselves and give you a job as a rock journalist. 😊

Congrats on another great year!💖🎉👌
Milk and Honey by John Lennon turns forty one in January so I hope it gets a video 🥛🍯
Also Metal Machine Metal would be such a chaotic video
easiest thing in the world to click like on this channel, easy choice to subscribe, easy decision to watch every episode. easy for us to give accede to your needs for next year because we bloody love vinyl monday and you've never asked us for anything. you are a person who deserves all the success and happiness that will surely come your way.
Abby,
Your VM got me to listen to one album a day this year.
GALAXIEE 5000 PLEASEEE WE LUV UUU ❤️❤️❤️
We're not getting weekly Vinyl Monday's anymore? Finally! I was wondering when she'd go mad from this insane schedule. I'd evaporate into dust in the wind after 3 weeks tops of that amount of work. Take as much time as you and your work needs :)
I've really enjoyed your album reviews in 2024. Looking forward to what you have on tap for 2025. I don't know if you are a Prince fan but it would be cool to see you tackle something from His Royal Badness. Happy New Year Abby!!!
YOOOOOOO thanks for the plug!! Always happy to use my Bruce Guy™ upbringing for good.
(also hard agree on the new Cure & Jack White albums)
Your red review literally made me stop in my tracks to watch it. Red is my favorite album of all time and starless is my favorite song. The album literally makes my jaw drop after every listen and im so glad you like it as much as you do! Heres hoping larks tounges or discipline will come!
I'm sure you get way more recommendations than you can absorb but knowing your thoughts on Cream and now hearing how much you like Mountain, I would like to strongly suggest a record by the Devil's Anvil called "Hard Rock from the Middle East" . If you read a brief summary and check out a song or two I think that will get your full attention
For the record, I luv your review(s)
Yay! We're generally chill!
@@Brian_Boru i prefer generally chill to terminally chill

Are you going to cover Peter Paul and Mary ?
Happy New Year! You have a fantastic channel here. Have you ever considered reviewing some Yes?
Thank you.
Galaxie 500 yes!! Seeing Dean Wareham playing Galaxie 500 this year in Glasgow as I always although partly I wish he was bringing Luna. Anyway I’ll look forward to that video!
More QUEEN and more Monkees please!!! Oh, and perhaps Tame Impala (if you own any) for mod. Month!
i love you Abby you made my 2024
If you’re gonna do a movie review thingy, you should definitely do a video on 200 motels or any Zappa movie
Happy Tuesday
You've given us a great year
Keep doing as you like
Hopeful 2025
Keep checking out more Zappa Albums in any order you like! It's very healthy for the Vinyl Monday Saga! Some Krautrock Bands as Can, Amon Duul or Agitation Free could be useful as well! Keep on talking of this kind of Music!
Happy New Year 2025.
i like vinyl mondays.
This quote from the new Prog magazine explains it much better than I could, so here it is:
The Turkish-American electronic music composer Ilhan Mimaroglu once said, "Music is the cinematographic concept.
Mountain is so underrated, climbing is one of the best hard rock albums ive ever heard
A Mrs. Miller Vinyl Monday is one of those things I've never even remotely considered but which would go UNBELIEVABLY hard
I lived through Mrs. Miller. Better forgotten.
@ hee hee hee
You should definitely do more film and album review episode. Now I'm not saying you have to cover The Last Waltz. I'm just saying it would make my heart sing! 😊 And my heart will for sure sing "Up On Cripple Creek" for that occasion. 😄 By the way, did you say you want to interview Pamela Des Barres? Well, Michael Des Barres, her ex, follows me on . . . X. What a coincidence. I know they're still friends, so if you want, I can share this video over there. Maybe he'll see it and help you out. Anyway, Happy New Year! 🤗
I've got a challenge for you Abigail....review a Bjork album.
can't wait for the day we get a taylor swift video!
see u next year 🩶
I very much enjoy your channel. Consider reviewing Todd Rundgren "A Wizard a True Star."
5:55 - Ooh, I predict more women-fronted VMs in the not too distant future! Renaissance, anyone? 😀
Hey, sweetie, don't overcriticize yourself. Whatever you do, you'll have an audience.
SNL will be calling. 🥂🍻🎉
