Sleeping under the Night Sky: Namib Dunes Star Camp Namibia [4K]

- The Namib Dune Star Camp is located on the edge of the Namib Desert near Sesriem and offers a special experience for its guests - sleeping under the night sky full of stars. The camp is a 4 star lodge whereby the infrastructure of the nearby Namib Desert Lodge can be used. Basically after checking in at the lodge you can use the two pools and / or eat in the restaurant and in the late afternoon you are driven to the camp in an open safari vehicle, where you can admire the sunset and the Dinner is served.
For us, after the many dusty roads and the heat of the last few days, it was an arrival in paradise and therefore we treated ourselves to an afternoon at the pool with cocktails etc. It is definitely recommended not arriving too late.
The highlight, however, was the night under the stars. The camp consists of 9 small huts, each with a large terrace on which the entire double bed can be accommodated. Since it can get cold in the desert at night, there are numerous blankets and pillows. The night was very pleasant for us as we were out in summer - in winter it can be cozy.

Interesting. So you sleep outside under the stars with the lions wandering around at night? Well I hope there is not any of those wandering around, ha ha. Great Video.
Not at all. There are no lions in that region. But we did sleep in a tree house a couple of years ago in the middle of a game reserve - this was a little bit more scary. ;-) Anyway thanks. :-)

Thanks for watching - yes it's in the middle of the desert. But since this year the raining season was quite intense the grass was quite long - although already brown at the time of our visit.
Wirklich unfassbar schön 🤩. Darf ich nach den Einstellungen für das Milchstraßenvideo fragen: Blende, Belichtung, Abstand zwischen den einzelnen Bildern 🙏🙏🙏
Vielen Dank - es war einzigartig dort. Und klar - es ist mit der Alpha 7iiiR und dem sony 16-35 gm objektiv bei Blende 2,8 und Iso 1250 bei 20sec Belichtung entstanden. Insgesamt 470 Bilder über einen Zeitraum von ca. 3h bei 0sec Intervall dazwischen.
