Is it possible to use a cable on type c port and use that to connect with PC instead of relying on the port? Esp type c to c cable and connect my mobile as double male ports can't connect to mobile
Hi there, thank you for your video. I have read the comments people may have with some hubs, you sttill didn't have any issue with yours ? I just bought an macbook air and same hub as yours, that's why I am asking.
Late comment. I've had one of these, maybe an earlier version but not much, for a few years after buying MacBook Air M1. It's fine except there's a light on the ethernet switch which drains the Mac battery if the hub is connected to the Mac and for whatever reason the power is off or not plugged in. Other than that it's fine plus it fits flush to the Mac and is a reasonable colour match. One of the USB ports seems to have stopped working when connected to my audio interface (USB-A to USB-B). The cable's fine coz it works with the other USB port on the ZMUIPNG. Other devices work OK on the ZMUIPNG/USB port that stopped working with the audio interface. So the ports ok, the audio interface is ok and the cable is ok. Maybe there's a driver I could/should download though i don't see why it would work with one port and not the other. Not expecting any feedback but it would be welcome.
Too bad the ZMUIPNG only has 1 HDMI port. I already have the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter that has one HDMI port of its own. Can I plug this into the ZMUIPNG and use both the Apple AV Multiport HDMI and ZMUIPNG HDMI ports for dual monitors? Will this work?
depends on the laptop. For exaple my macbook pro only has one thunderbolts and one usb c port. so even i use one hdmi and one usb c cable to plug into two monitor it wont work becuase the hdmi is already accessing the video output. sad that modern macbooks cant dual monitor
Hi there, What is the distance between the two USB C ports? i want to try this on my non-macbook laptop that has 2 usb c ports aligned as macbook has it
@@mpmedia441 Hi there, the USB C port described as PD port can we plug in a USB C drive or use it as a data port I mean? I want to use it with an external SSD drive like the Samsung T7.
I bought this hub and it is damaging the battery of my 2020 macbook pro with intel processor! only 31 cycles and battery health is 88% in just six months ...
@@mpmedia441 I leave it connected during the day while I work in photoshop and illustrator since I am an illustrator and graphic designer and at night when I go to sleep I disconnect everything ... it is supposed that with the Monterrey battery optimization there would be no problem with that .. .. and I have seen several people who literally melted their macbooks with this hub

The two ports together from one edge to the other is 1 inch total. the space in-between the two ports themselves is 1/4 inch. I hope that helps!

@@javierkakito4464 that’s terrible to hear! I haven’t seen any of those problems yet but I will keep an eye on it.
I believe you. Only a month and it doesn’t work properly with my laptop
Avoid ZMUIPNG products if you want to use it to connect to WIRED LAN !!!!!!!!!!! Big problem on products with AX88179A chip
mines still going strong ?
@@mpmedia441 use wired lan on a company lan and you go to see big problem
