I have a very strange issue with this exactly Baseus USB-C hub - when my laptop is connected directly to the HDMI it shows that it's connected to Intel Iris Xe and I can choose 60Hz for 4K. But with Baseus connected it shows me the same Iris adapter but to allows choose 30Hz only
Could you use Baseus hub to make safety copies of photos on travel - plug USB-C into Android phone, insert SD card and SSD drive (or another sd card) into hub, make copies?
Theoretically it should work. People use cheapo Steam Deck docks for DEX. But; I don't know about this hub for certain. I literally read every review at Amazon and not one person used it for DEX or an equivalent desktop mode. I'm hopeful Shane sees this, tests DEX (or an equivalent like Moto's ReadyFor) and puts it in a reply or a pinned comment. DEX is the only reason that I'd be in the market for something like this.
@mattdavis9601 I've tried and sent back about 6 different hubs that didn't work for dex so it's just easier if they could just tell us all the uses it's good for lol.
i'm using this hub to connect hdmi to external 4K monitor. But the external monitor sometimes blinks. Have you experienced this? (I'm using on M1 macbook air)

I have the same issue, did you find a solution?
Does it not get hot when gaming with your lenovo for too long?
it's been 5 months, did anything bad happen? Mine's cable tip gets quite warm to say the least.
At that price and with whT you are getting this might be the best deal on the market...thanks shane...😁😁😁👍👍👍
I totally agree. This is an awesome value for sure!
Would this work with the rog ally? I want to connect it to my tv to play in 4k
lol that stretch factor
Seems more like an ad than a review

I want to know that too because i already order one for me...
Just bought a Basus USB-C cable...
Now I need to get their Hub. 🤔
Good idea. They also have great power banks and charge bricks!
4k@60 doesn't show up for me with this hub, even though when the same cable connected to the HDMI port 4k@60 works perfectly. Any thoughts?
Your usbc probably doesn't allow for 4k 60hz. Check if its usbc 3.2
Can you run dex with this
That's what I came here to ask
Also I believe the channel techisodeTV did a video recently of the ones that work with dex

I'm looking to buy one of these for my m1 air, is the problem resolved yet?
@@sadsatan2567 not yet. I think it gets overheated. I use it for PD, 1 external ssd and 1 hdmi. Maybe it’s bottleneck
Can it do 1440p at 120 hz?
I'm using it on 1440p, 144hrz, all good till date !
