Hi, thanks shweta for depicting a real picture in front of us such that we do not take decisions irrationally, influenced by perverse incentives.. what you have said is absolutely right. I am a CA student and even for us the job market is very very sticky. In spite of being such a niche profession it is struggling with placement of freshers. I saw the similar news some time back for IITs as well. I think it's more of a macro economic issue than any specific profession or institution related issue.. I think we are unfortunately in an economic phase where lower level or back end jobs with low end salaries are increasing but the job market is very sticky when it comes to real qualified top end professionals. This is bound to happen due to excessive governmental spending leading to private crowding out and low capex formation. This all leads to real skilled youth migrating out of India. I hope this trend reverses soon by taking appropriate governmental steps. Thanks!

Everyone talking about MBA and the fact that it's not worth it... but what can commerce graduates otherwise even do? Ms from abroad isn't much accepted by the companies plus it's not affordable to come back in your home country and pay the education loans...

This year the placement season at IITs was very bad ,so many of my batch mates are going for MBA in a hope to secure their future. But I got to know from close contacts that their IIMs are having more FUBAREd placement season.
Some are even going for other higher studies like MS, PhD in order to pass this bad time and maybe explore something new.😢😢

My brother left his Sub Inspector govt. Job to do MBA from IIM Raipur, with dreams of getting a top class package, it did inspire me to pursue MBA but things didn't go as planned as my brother and more than a couple of his Batchmates are currently struggling to get placed, he'll be coming home next month, Hope things change 🤞.
Only pursue MBA if you have above average grades, you have skills and experience and lastly enough savings.

I think I am gonna join Baby IIM this year !! Have got approx 97 Ile in CAT 23 ! It was my 2nd attempt and I am a fresher! Being from a lower middle class family I am worrying about the education loan EMIs and placements too ,

MBA needs more insight and experience to enrich vision for production and pductivity. Just holding MBA or Degree means nothing. If degrees do not enlighten you even after MBA means failures to have practical vision and values to pursue in real time workforces.

I am from IIM Ranchi...5 individuals didn't get placed in my batch...new iims ka halat bahut kharab hein...July to March Tak placement hota hein..February ke baad placements to bahut hein kharab......freshers plz don't go to new iims and only go if ur academics is very strong...4 of the guys who didn't get placed in IIM Ranchi were freshers

Do not ever do MBA because you can get a great ob. If you love managing resources, finance and marketing and have a year or so experience in industry to somewhat understand the above functions go for it. Jobs will come.

Are you out of mind, agar mba colleges ka responsibility nhi hai placement ka then why do they advert about their 100 percent placement or 10lpa placements
100% placement doesn't mean: "you do you bro, we will get you placed". Even IIMs can't place students who are not skilled enough.
Bhai mba colleges companies laake denge but companies accept karege ya nahi yeh tumpe depend karega ..see it's not spoon feeding..and competition ke aage rehna h toh advance mein skills and knowledge develop karna hoga so that tum top karo un placement process mein

Actually I needed some help regarding how to move forward in the corporate world. I have a work experience of 3.8 years. One year as a Business Development Executive and 2.8 years as a Sr. System Analyst both in a small firm. I have given CAT 3 TIMES. But couldn't get through anyway. I come from a very humble family and wanna grow in a corporate world. I still wanna pursue my MBA and parents taunt me for wasting 3 years straight. Please could you guide me how get through it.

Go to Germany bro! India isn't for the dreamers now! Due to population, all we receive is outsourced works which pay very very less salaries!
On the other hand, Germany is best for PG nd job, but first learn German coz without this, u can't survive there for long.

Nd if u want to live lavishly then AT LEAST Rs.6 lakh per month for a family of 4!
I suggest u to apply for bachelors or masters there, coz it'll be much more easier to get high paying jobs than pursuing Masters in India nd then apply a job there.
Prepare for GMAT nd get a nice college in Germany...then it'll be easier for u to settle abroad.
Also, at some point in ur life when u wanna return to India nd settle here for further years, then you'll get MUCH MORE SALARY as compared to most of the IITs nd IIMs, coz then u'll have Master's from GERMANY nd a work experience of ABROAD!

It is better to cover the entire syllabus though not necessary. Sometimes a lot of questions come from a particular topic e.g. Algebra last year. So better not to skip the basics at least

Can you help me please. I graduated in 23 and gave cat but it didn't turned out good. I am planning to reappear for cat 24 as this is what I want to do by hook or by crook. In the meantime what can I do to justify my gap years. After 12th commerce students who want to go in commerce line have only few two options either go for usless degrees of (BBA, BCOM )or either do professional degree of( CA CS and etc)...but for postgraduate why BBA student should complete with other stream students why don't they have BBA students as their 1st preference and reservation.

Sweta didi i want you to make a video regarding top IIMs placement. As you told you pursued MBA from IIM A and then got placement as a Area Sales manager. Didi I want to know do IIM bring companies which offers finance jobs and other field like HR jobs? Because most of the institute brings only sales and marketing jobs so later on the students who are pursuing MBA in finance, hr they don't get their specialized jobs according to their expectations. So, Could you please make a video on it. It is much needed because students those who want to pursue MBA they are more concerned about Placement and the job they get after MBA.
