- ð Learn how to find the inverse, the converse, and the contrapositive of a statement. The contrapositive of a statement is the switching of the hypothesis and the conclusion of a conditional statement and negating both. If the hypothesis of a statement is represented by p and the conclusion is represented by q, then the conditional statement is represented by "if p, then q" and the contrapositive is represented by "if not q, then not p".
The inverse of a statement is the negation of the hypothesis and the conclusion of a conditional statement. If the hypothesis of a statement is represented by p and the conclusion is represented by q, then the conditional statement is represented by "if p, then q" and the inverse is represented by "if not p, then not q".
The converse of a statement is the switching of the hypothesis and the conclusion of a conditional statement. If the hypothesis of a statement is represented by p and the conclusion is represented by q, then the conditional statement is represented by "if p, then q" and the converse is represented by "if q, then p".

This guys Taught me more than my math teacher
I wish my my current math teacher could teach like this. but I guess not all teachers are created equal. thanks for the videos.
Tqq sir for your fabulous explanation
We're good teaching
Can I get the marking scheme of this if it is of 1 mks how will it be divided half for Converse symbolic form and half for the statement.....??
Plz do reply....!!
Hi Sakshi, there is not a making scheme for this video
Thank you
This is why,Im still alive, seriously XD
what if the conditional is ~p then ~q? how would i do the inverse?
It's already in inverse form
The inverse would be â~~p then ~~qâ, but since double negatives cancel each other out, the inverse would be âp then qâ
