HOW TO REQUEST A TRICK:
1. Find a performance of a trick on TH-cam that you would like to see on my channel, or even film yourself performing the trick and upload it to TH-cam.
2. Copy that TH-cam link and go to the discussion page on my channel.
3. Comment in the page: (whatever you want to say really... like “please teach this!” Or “I would love it if you revealed this!” Something like that.) Then PASTE the link to the performance in your comment.

Yes, that's the problem with all these 'simple' card tricks. They are only simple if you have a high degree of manual skills.

Instead of doing a double lift, try pushing off the top two cards as one. The same effect and I find easier!
Robert, that's what you have to do, make it work for you. There are more than a few ways to do a double lift. If you are at all interested in card magic, double lift is card magic 101.
And if they ask to see the cards run away and cut all contact with them

Basically the king is at the bottom
Then you flip the deck and show the king, flip again, take away the top card, same thing again twice.

Ive learned a handful of these and met and impressed a lot of people learning tricks from your channel and its actually a bit bitter (2022 now, I learned a bunch from this channel at 2017) to see how so much of these have been lost to time, the tricks I used to know, I had to thoroughly dig deep to find and rewatch, and the memories just flowed back when I found them. Such a rich collection of neat performances and tutorials of which I hope people will never get tired of.

I lost all my fingers in a terrible card trick accident when I was ten... we were poor so instead of cards I had to use dire wolves 8( They hated the double lift.

I tried this trick about 5 times and did it perfectly, but then when I showed it to one of my friends I did it wrong and they could clearly see it was a double lift...

To do the double lift yo do not have to do a pinkie break. Just use your left thumb , press hard and move it to the right. It is easy.

Because magic in 50% is how you are performing and 50% is trick. If you can do trick but like in a boring way - no one will want to watch you. Look at David Blaine, he can throw cards from hand to hand, catch them in various ways and etc. - that's a big part of being a magician.
Also, he's pretty bad at it. at 0:30 it is just obviously two cards.
Whenever i attempt a doubleift..i end up lifting half the deck xD

I did recognize this, but I think this is better and more direct. I like that it doesn't reuse the same move too much and I like the ending too. It is stronger, although it doesn't leave you clean. Working on an idea for that. Will post in a separate comment.

Before you start the trick, keep the whole deck of cards next to you with another blank card on the top, once you drop your three cards on the table, pick up and square the cards, keeping the king on the top, pick up the deck in the other hand and top change the king with the blank. ;)

Yeah, with a full deck it's a bit tough to make it look clean, but with three cards it's just way too easy.
