Hi Bro! My dpf static regeneration always failed. As you said the catalytic temperature should be 500 or more. But my temp always stays between 275-300. Is it because of the temperature, its get failed?
This regen is decreasing my milage wt to do?
After a regen u need to change the engine oil , depends on the condition if the filter is too much choked , and oil change is a must as the Diesel enters the sump causing oil dilution , the pressure sensor is so accurate the more pressure drop in the dpf the more regen u need , u drive it in highway for 50kms keeping engine at a steady 2k rpm , as the dpf is located near to the manifold only it doesn't take long to egt to rise once the dpf rises to 350 plus degrees the soot will automatically burnt off
Short City drives - drive ends before the coolant reaches optimum temprature
Lugging the engine at low gears
Using bad quality fuel , skipping periodic maintenance , choked airfilter , they all have negative effect on the car ,these results in more black smoke and more smoke leads to choked dpf the more regen
These are all the headaches
If u want avoid all these, drive the car once in a month on highway at a steady pace for 50 kms round trip it will for sure clear the problem

I'm always getting my rpm reading on higher end although you show with the higher reading it automatically cleans. But what could this be with my vehicle as it never comes down to the line u showed

Thanks for the useful information. I have driven my Ford Freestyle BS6 on highway and it did auto-cleaning and message went away.
Other companies like KIA give passive regeneration instructions in manual to put engine in idle+full blower+high beam (takes 40-60 mins). If you know something like this for Ford let us know.
This is required when driving in hills where you don't have 30-40kms stretch to keep same rpm on 4th or 5th gear.

Bro, Today I got the same warning first time (Vehicle purchased in OCT 2020). I started driving my car in 3rd gear only so that RPM will be 2K+, after approximately 20 KM of journey warning disappeared.
Shivam Gupta, I came to know we can also do regeneration ourselves without visiting service center and without running the vehicle at 60kms for a stretch of 30 to 40kms. I think we can download Forscan software to our laptop and connect via usb to OBD scanner tool and then we can do it. Since i am not that tech savvy person idont know how to do it. can you please collect the info regarding this and make a video which will be helpful to all ford owners. Thanks

Yes you can remove dpf and few others parts. Pros: best performance, best mileage
Cons: Its “Illegal” and emission test may not pass.

@@ShivamGuptaVlogss well to me already happened around 5x times, and as it seems wont stop. They told me that i have to buy new dpf
Shivam bhai, i was able to regenerate the dpf similar to service center by using Forscan software in laptop and obd tool with usb connection. My spf filter was 77% choked and it took 45min at my parking to clean this myself.
How to do this? Please help
Good tool to know the DPF. However does the warranty of car voids after attaching this obd ?
You are not altering anything with engine and wires. It's a normal port where you are plugging device.
So, it won't.
