The best keyboardplayer in my life, I saw him two times, 1978 in dusseldorf with billy cobham and 2010 in leverkusen, where I had the chance to shake his hand and to talk with him, he will ever be my keyboard and rhodes piano HERO!!
George was one of the most personable people that one could meet. I remember towards the end, I had exchanged emails with him. I wish that I could find those emails now. Anyway, he's an inspiration to me. He's the reason I keep on learning
George will always be one of my keyboard heroes. We lost an incredible musician, songwriter and producer when he passed away in 2013. I could be a happy man if I had 1/100th of his chops!
Brilliant interaction with Mr Duke ! Wish that Ponty gig was recorded .. what an audience ! 'It's on !' nicely shown with perspex synth/vocoder on display ! Chick demonstrates (I think) 'Romantic Warrior' too. I love you George, you were rite there ! Thanks for superb post. Peace and love
5:49 to 5:53 How he gets to that broken chord goes straight into the soul. For me best player ever. He had hos own "style. You can hear when its George Duke playing.
Hello There why couldn't you Try Remaking A Daddy Grand Piano by putting on 88 Tuning Forks like what you did on an Upright Piano, Please do the Same Thing on a Daddy Grand Piano For Most of us TH-camrs, It will be a much Better Idea For us so we can Try and See and Hear It Mister B Williams Thank You.
listen to a keyboard solo that max middleton does on " Definitely Maybe", with the jeff beck group. the particular song is posted by gyozaleistoku. it was a recording they did at the beat club. it features mostly songs from the rough and ready album but 'definitely maybe' was from the 'Orange' album. the solo starts at 5:23 but the whole song is excellent, especially the beat club recording. thats how i want to hear a rhodes electric piano played.
bro what was that at end....pure wizardry
