  • Couple days of hard work paid off on this 1988 Foxbody's interior. I re-dyed all the plastics & vinyl with SEM paint, added convertible hinges to the trunk lid, installed a complete stereo system and it sounds awesome. A couple of cool tricks like using Killmat behind the trunk liners really helps add some rigidity too.

Great info! I remember finding those courtesy light sockets in my base LX years ago and being excited that I was able to add an upscale option! It just needed the bulbs. Lol!

You, and one of my daughters, changed my mind! I did the black carpet in a red on red convertible years ago. But with this Reef Blue on grey coupe I first went back and forth on what to do with the interior. I decided I'd stick with the stock interior. I even had a brand new grey carpet in the garage ready to go! I just returned it and am going to order black carpet. Like you said, to break up all that grey.

I sanded my dash with 80 and 180 and used a urethane primer blocked out with 320 and 400 and shot it with base and clear. Thanks for the content!

I had a 5.0 just like that when I was in the Air Force minus your improved interior, I'm looking for a northern 89 notch back now great job I'm glad I found your channel.

Maaaaaaan, you've gone and done it, you little, crafty stinker! Now all the coupe dudes are going to drain the salvage yards of vert lift springs! Awesome documentery on an excellent mod! Good thing I'm just a lowly hatch feller. Love the sound tips- I used to be somewhat of a big stereo goof in the 90s and early 2Ks. I dig what you did with that car- and yes, I pushed a screw driver through a Kicker Comp 15 once... I almost shat myself. I look fwd to hearing some beats! That car looks super nice now. Oh, and don't think I didn't notice the Miller Lite in the koozie! I'm thirsty and ready- come on out!

Great video! I really like how you break everything down and make it seem so easy. The coupes definitely have an advantage over hatches when it comes to mounting subs/amps, batteries, etc.

Great job Chris, it does look so amazing, the contrast of colors looks so great, the perfect choice, can't wait to see
the outer changes coming. Awesome job bud.

Looking crisp Chris! You even painted the glove box release black for contrast. I can't tell you how many car audio installs I have done in these cars and NEVER butchered any factory harnesses doing them this same way which is the right way for any future changes etc.

I use Infinity Reference which is a notch down from the Kappa. I love Infinity. I used kilmat too! I did the entire door, behind on the door skin below the re bar and on the front like you did but entire door. I have done the hatch area, I plan on doing the whole car. Im getting old at 43, lol. I don't want drone or road noise.

Hey, I’m looking into putting power locks in my coupe. In this car did you use the factory harness with the power locks/power windows? Also, did you make a custom mount for the door lock/unlock switch in the manual door lock plug or is it a part Ford made? Thanks. Great Video!
